  1. Can you tell me how she almost died? I know a lot people that have the lap band that have done fine. I have massive anxiety when it comes to any surgery. My friend is going for the sleeve but I don't know much about it.
  2. Did you have any complications with being banded and being pregnant? I'm looking to get banded by the end of the year and getting pregnant 2 years from now with my 3rd. I personally don't know anyone that got pregnant after being banded
  3. Hi everyone. I've been a member since 2011. I had originally wanted lap band but my surgeon switched me to gastric bypass BUT 3 days before surgery I canceled my surgery. I then lost my grandma then 3 months to the day of her passing I found out I was pregnant with my son. I ballooned back up to 330 lbs. I'm currently 290lbs and I've been stuck at this weight for 5 months. No matter what I do doesn't work SO I'm switching to a different hospital that does lap band. I'm scared because I've seen a lot of horror stories about young mothers dying from it. Please ease my mind. I NEED to do this!!! I need to be around for my children. This is my family.

  9. My husband's 2 aunts had gastric bypass about 4-5 years ago and look great. They don't deny themselves anything. They will take a bite of whatever they want just to satisfy the craving. I'm scared about missing food but I know I'll be okay
  10. I have a tramp stamp and they told me it should be fine after surgery. I know the ones that look bad afterwards are in the stomach, arm and boobs
  11. Oh gosh I couldn't imagine just having that. Thankfully I'm allowed to have food (only 600-800 calories a day) but I do have the protein shake and jello sometimes...how long is that for
  12. I had my gall bladder removed in 2008 and that surgery was easy no pain afterwards not even from the gas but I go for gastric bypass in exactly a week and I'm sooo nervous

  15. I fortunately dont have a family like that but as long as you don't over eat and eat small portions I would say you will be okay.
  16. I never want to eat a triple whopper again
  17. It'll be here before u know it. Depending on your insurance depends on how fast they are with the approval. Good luck
  18. Thanks it definitely feels good moving on to the next step but it doesn't help my anxiety level any lol
  19. Exercise...the younger u are I guess the less loose skin u will have. I'm 25 and I go next Friday for surgery and I'm hoping that I don't have much loose skin but I look at it as if I do then that's less my skin will have to stretch when I have another baby but they did say exercise helps
