  1. While my port did not flip - I recently had my port and tubing replaced due to a leakage - the surgery and recovery was a piece of cake - and they did a fill when I was in surgery!! Linda
  2. Absolutely - I can now shop for clothing in "normal" stores, exercise, enjoy activities with my family, go to the beach and not be embarrassed, etc. I would do it again in a heartbeat - the "problems" that I have had are rare - actually, I think the stats say less then 1%. I know that I would not be even close to where I am today without the band - I truly believe that whatever is currently wrong will be repaired and I will get back on track and lose the remaining weight! Linda
  3. Just wanted to introduce myself - I am Linda from Fort St John, BC - I was banded by Dr Chris Cobourn in October 2005 and have lost almost 100 lbs - however, it has not been without it's difficulties! In August 2006 - Dr Cobourn performed a band replacement (due to a slip) and at the same time removed my gallbladder! Since then I have had no restriction - despite numerous fills - the last time Dr Cobourn was only able to get 1 cc out of my band - which was supposed to have 6.5 cc's - he then filled with 7 cc's - restricted for a few days - then nothing! I will be getting checked on Friday but looks like I will need to have my tubing replaced as it appears to have a leak! Despite these difficulties - my only wish is that I had done this years ago! Just wanted to say HI! Linda
