  1. Ummmm.. Nooooooo. No problems whatsoever. In fact I feel completely normal now except I have to stop eating long before others do. That's it.
  2. Hey all!! It's good to see my familiar peeps on here!! Does anyone know if the elliptical is useful for this purpose? It's my main form of exercise.
  3. I am currently trying to get my house unpacked, but we're now officially Floridians!
  4. I know I'm way late on this topic and i didnt read ANY of the replies- but for me, no exercise= NO weight loss. Period. End of story. And I mean 5 days a week, 1 hr minimum each time.
  5. OH MY CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That is soooo awesome!!! dang. I need to get my butt in gear.
  6. One thing I've had to do...that I think generally ALL of us have to do is quit looking at food as a celebration or something that makes you happy, or how to derive as much pleasure from each experience as possible. Instead, look at it as something you have to do to stay alive and make your body healthy. That said-- I have a HECK of a time seeing it that way. We have to stop "thinking" about food. Remember the cardiologists diet: "IF IT TASTES GOOD- SPIT IT OUT!" HAHAHAHAHAHA!!
  7. Wow. That sounds....ambitious for one month. My doc still had me on purees at that point for safety. Youch. Be careful. The amounts sound good, just be sure you chew that chicken until it's liquified before you swallow it.
  8. YES. It sucks bad. By day ten you'll be hallucinating and just about to kill everyone around you. I can not tell you how worth it it will be to just get through it. Hang in there, you can do it. The next month will be a bit rough, but SOOO worth it. You got this.
  9. WOW!! That's a LONG vacation!! Have fun!
  10. After 15 months, I'm STILL cold. Never knew what cold was before.
  11. Oh gravy!! You're WAAAYYY too early to be worried about that, honey!! Im at 15 months now. At about 8 months I felt like I could eat the world. My capacity went up to about 8 ounces. I've been told to keep eating 4 oz, however. When the "honeymoon" phase is over, that means ALL the surgical swelling is gone. It lasts a good long while. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!! Enjoy the ride while you've got it, because your old "issues" will try to haunt you again when you can hold more food, so prepare yourself for that too. My two cents. Hugs!
  12. I soooo will!! In fact I have questions already. My husband and I will be there in two weeks to buy a house.
  13. WE SOLD OUR HOUSE! We should be Tampa residents within two months!
  14. Ya know Mokee, you're probably right....after a certain point it may not hurt- BUT (and we all have a big but, right?) if there is even a remote chance out in the outer reaches of space that it could, would, possibly, maybe, perhaps stretch my sleeve in the teeniest way...... It's OUTTA here!! Don't need it, don't want it. I don't even miss it, and i was a die hard Diet Coke-aholic of the worst kind. Just my two cents. That and four bucks will get you a crappy cup o starbucks! much loves, d
  15. Every time I quit tracking.... I look around and think, "where am I going and why am I in this hand basket?!"
  16. Well, i'm a little taller and was a little heavier- 5'6" and 349. I lost 100 in the first 10 months. From pre-op to week 2 after surgery, i lost 40.
  17. All I've got to say to that is: :P LOL
  18. your hunger hormones are still floating around your body also. that takes a while to go away.. its pretty normal. besides, you're on liquids. thats not going to make a full feeling stick around. it gets better. then the surgical swelling goes down and you get hungry again. at that point you'll want to stay full on proteins. hunger is something we're always going to battle, unfortunately.
