  2. Keep your fingers crossed for me....On Friday I finally had an epidural injection in my thoracic spine to try to get my mid back and rib pain to improve. This particular pain has been plagueing me for 1 1/2 years following my cervical fusion. Yesterday was the first time in 1 1/2 years that I had NO pain! Today I have pain but it is mild and totally tolerable. It takes a full week before you know the results of an epidural completely but I am so very hopeful that we finally found the cause and have treated it properly.

  3. Hey all! Enjoying this misty, chilly Autumn day? I sure am! I just wanted to share the recipe for this super yummy, fast, easy, and healthy eggdrop soup I've been making a lot lately, as it seems like the perfect meal for us on a day like this. It's very simple! Put two cups of water on to boil, and while that's heating up, add some bouillon (I use 1 tbs of Better Than Bouillon beef or chicken. Both are delicious! Today was beef.), a dash of lemon juice, and whatever spices you love. My soup today has cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, and a little dash of curry. While the water continues to heat up, beat two eggs really well with a little bit of milk in a separate bowl. You'll want to get the eggs as uniform in consistency as possible. By this time, your water will be boiling. Turn off the heat, but leave the pot on the burner, and slowly pour your eggs/milk mixture into the boiling broth. And now you're done! Pour into a bowl, curl up with a cozy blanket, and enjoy. This soup only takes about 7 minutes to make, tastes delicious, and contains 12 grams of protein. I normally eat half of it and save the other half for later. Pretty wonderful! ^_^

  4. 44 today! and gotta say, 44 feels a lot better than 42 and 43 did!

  5. Lost another 4 lbs, now I am only Class II obese!! I'm going to run out of clothes really soon, though. My pant size hasn't started changing a whole lot yet, just some of my larger pants have had to go. But my shirt size is changing very rapidly. I had thought I'd have more time with the tops, but no... I'm going to end up having to go shopping (gasp!) in the next couple of weeks to stay clothed at work!!

  6. I dont know how much more i can take.

  7. I did the Insane Inflatables 5K today with my son and a team of friends. I finished in under an hour, and only went around two obstacles. Kinda proud of myself! :)

  8. I have been shrinking, shrinking, inches coming off everywhere but in a scale stall. Stall finally broke and the scale moved.

  12. I was 201.0 this morning when I weighed. Onederland is so close I can taste it!

  13. Had my 3 month post op appointment this morning. New nutritionist since mine went to another hospital and doesn't work with my surgeon anymore. Down 47.5lbs since surgery. Nutritionist was not impressed, said that was at the very low end of how much I should have lost by now. Yet she couldn't come up with anything I should change to increase it. Surgeon, however, was pleased with my progress to date. Thinking I need to find another nutritionist but I'd like to stay within my surgeon's practice.

Can you call the surgeon's office and ask them for a recommendation for a new NUT? That's total crap, you are doing a fantastic job!

  14. I don't know that I necessarily thought I was "big boned" or whatever - but it has been a bit of a surprise as the weight comes off to feel how delicate my frame really is underneath all that fluff. feeling pretty girly these days. :-)

My surgeon told me that I have a small frame, which completely blew my mind. Now I am really curious to see what's under there, lol!

  15. Feeling excited! I just started my own consulting business and had my final interview with my first client. It went very well and most importantly I did not have to deal with them trying to reduce my rate, at least so far. Keep your fingers crossed.

  16. I feel like a new person.

  17. I am really going to make myself sick sooner or later if I can't find a way to get my calories and water in while I'm stressed and extremely busy. :/

  18. I have lost 90 pounds as of this morning! There is something about the nice, even numbers that is extra exciting. 23 days until the surgery. I WILL get to 100 pounds down before that day gets here...

  19. Just realized my BMI is in the normal range for the first time in 20 years.

  20. I am delighted to report that I am official "overweight"--not "obese" I haven't heard those words since elementary school. Take THAT, Sister Mary Francis!

  21. You guys, I really am going to run this marathon! Longest training run (20 miles) is now behind me and less than three weeks until the race!

  22. Back in the office today, routine seems to be helping me get fluids in better. :) Should be cleared for mushies on Wed, looking forward to some refried beans with cheese!!
