  1. Three more months of supervised diet before they submit my case to insurance for approval! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

It's going to move very fast from here.

  2. Under 300 pounds for the first time in a long time! (I'm still pre-op) I love the fact that this surgery will make onederland a possibility for me.

  3. Had some of my preop evaluations today - dietician, exercise physiologist, and psychiatric evaluation. I am kind of nervous about the outcome of the psych eval. I have a lot of trauma in my past, and he asked a lot of questions about my drinking habits as a teenager. Nothing like dragging up painful memories with a stranger!

Caribear, it's a process you need to go through to heal and to prevent self sabotage in the future. You can do this. You've taken the toughest step already... seeking surgery to a healthier end.

I too have had some trauma in life. I made myself sick over that dang psych eval. In the end, I thought, "what's the worst that can happen... so I need a few months of counseling. In the end I will be that much more ready to manage the surgery and my thought processes".

You got this girl. You GOT this. Head down. One step at a time. Take it as it comes and deal with it and keep moving forward.

@Unbridled thank you so much for the support, it really means a lot to me. I know that all of this is for my own good. It's just a little unsettling diving into things that I have already worked so hard to overcome, and feeling like those things might be used against me in a way. It's good to know I'm not the only one though, and if you ever need to talk, I'm just a message away.

  4. Completed pre-op physician visit 5 of 9 today. I am over halfway through! Time is dragging and flying at the same time...

  5. I did the Insane Inflatables 5K today with my son and a team of friends. I finished in under an hour, and only went around two obstacles. Kinda proud of myself! :)

I did the Dirty Girl last year, it was a blast! Wanted to do it this year, but they cancelled it at the location that was closest to me.

  6. Went to my first consultation with my surgeon today. After he examined my abdomen, he said that I have a small frame. Still trying to wrap my head around that one.

I used to consider mine as that of an SUV! I bet you will enjoy getting reacquainted with your "frame". Enjoy the process. Happy !

Cervidae - Thank you for sharing your picture. Your progress is definitely inspiring! And it's good to know I am not the only one who was surprised by this news. :)

Valentina - I have no idea what I actually look like under here, I have never been under 250 lbs as an adult. So hearing that anything about me is considered "small" is kinda mind-blowing. And LOL about the softball team! :)

  7. I have blocked two people on here just today. I can only assume that some people are just hangry and come here to take their anger out on other anonymous internet users.

please tell me that "hangry" isn't a typing error and it actually describes that state of anger that arises from being too hungry. cause, i know from personal experience, that really is a thing!
