    Piece of cake!

I've had 3 c-sections as well, this, for me, felt pretty much the same. The pain area was the same, the recovery was the same thankfully I didn't have to stay in the hospital for 4 days like I do after a c-section, only 2 days for me (no issues). I had a JP Drain when I got home, I really didn't need the pain meds after the first day of surgery, although my nurses kept suggesting after I did my 5th lap around the hospital floor they let up on my need for it. I want to also say that I DO NOT have a high tolerance for pain, I think I just had a very experienced surgeon and great nurses. I felt good after 3 days and pretty normal after the first week. I have 3 children 5, 2 and 9 months and I was back to work (as a full time homemaker) by the end of the week

    6 month post op issue

I'm 3 months out and sometimes have days where I am either nauseous or can hardly eat much of anything, the next day I tend to fast (no eating or drinking from sun up to sun down) and that seems to get me back on track. I think sometimes my tummy just needs a rest. At 3 months out its still working super hard with even a tiny bit of food. Good Luck

What am I doing to myself?

I did the same thing with pizza , but I ended up ok. I'm 3 months out next week and down 60 pounds. Don't fret, do as others have suggested, get back on the band wagon and try to remember that the consequences of not following your surgeons orders and eating whats good for your body will not just be extra pounds anymore but could be a life threatening situation. One of my biggest motivating thoughts to stay on track is that I could really hurt my body if I don't. Hoping the best for you! You got this!

    Patiently waiting

You should try calling them. Last year I had UHC and I submitted papers for the Lapband, I eneded up getting pregnant and during my pregnancy I did more research and decided to go with the sleeve after having my baby (sooo glad I did) anyway, my insurance changed to BCBS of IL, but I found out after having waited 2 months prior to finding out that I was pregnant way back when, that UHC never even saw my info!!! I was told you have to be on your P's and Q's with them so I'd suggest calling often and keeping a record of who you speak to and what they say. Hoping for the best for you!

    Fueling Your Morning Workouts

So I am 7 weeks out and have lost 45 pounds so far but my eating/calories has increased and I have yet to begin a workout routine. I worked out consistently for years so I can handle working out and really miss the high but I simply don't have the energy. What did u do, or what works for you? Thx!

    Shakes

I use Lambarda. 40 grams of protein per serving, no sugar and 3 carbs. It is a bit expensive but they are by far the absolute best tasting shake i've tried. Before them I didn't get even close to the 90 grams a day I was suppose to be hitting, now i'm doing much better. The serving is pretty big though, at least for a sleeved, I work through one a day. But really they are so friggin delicious!

    The Undeniable Truth(s)

Good luck. You know, I understand exactly how you feel. For years I worked out 7 days a week an hour to 2 hours a day with very little weight loss. I did struggle with portion control and sweets but for the most part I was pretty under control. I would be beside myself when I'd worked out so hard and would gain, although I would chop it up to muscle gain (with a six foot one frame, I have more muscle than the average woman anyway), but I would still feel frustrated because it was the loss of pounds I was looking for. Anyway, I had my surgery March 28th of this year and so far I've lost 42 pounds. I think you, like so many of us who worked their butts off before getting the surgery, will be a great success story. Again, good luck to you and I hope for you all the success and triumphs that you can't even imagine :-)
  25. Alhamdulillah! Down 42 pounds 5...almost 6 weeks out, now, it's time to start working out :-D
