  1. Hey.I just got my first menstrual since being banded yesterday and I kinda pigged out for the first time since the band. Not too bad but definitely more than I have since being banded. I am only 3 weeks out. But I made sure I walked 2 miles that evening. Is it the menstrual or do I just need my first fill soon? I notice I dont have much restriction anymore compared to my first 2 weeks or so. I can't go to the gym yet per doctors orders but I have been walking everyday at least 2 miles or more. 45 minutes or so. Help..Any advice?
  2. MyFitnessPal is great for tracking. I have been using it and it works pretty good. It has all types of food there and exercise for you to track. I kinda feel the same way. I keep fluctuating between 2 pounds but think its just water weight. I have no restriction either. I am 3 weeks out tommorow. I just make sure I use my 1 cup tupperware bowls for most of my food and walk everyday. Its getting nice outside so find a local park and walk it out!!
  3. No I am not eatingreal food yet. Mushies such as steamed fish, eggs, cream of wheat, grits etc. Spoke to the doctor and he said I should be fine. Just try not to lift heavy things. Thats hard when you have a terrible 2 at home lol.
  4. No I am not eating solids. Only soft mushy food like cream of wheat, grits, tuna with low fat mayo, steamed tilapia, eggs greek yogurt etc. Ok glad to see I am on track.
  5. I am 2 weeks post op and I was full off of 1/2 cup of food. Now I am up to one cup of food. Yikes! Is this normal? I also have been walking at least 45 minutes daily. Is that ok? Does this mean I will need a fill by my May 3rd visit?
  6. My little girl had a tantrum and I had to lift her out the store. I had some pain that day, yesterday too. When I called me doctor he said to take my pain pill and it instantly went away. Today I am fine but it does still feel a lil sore in my port area. But its not unbearable. Does anyone think I ripped it? Only difference I do notice is I am up to eating almost 1 cup of food at one sitting compared to the 1/2 cup. I am only 2 weeks post-op.
  7. Im recently banded only been 2 weeks today. So far I have lost 14 pounds since the day before surgery! However 1-I dont see the difference 2- I am barely eating because everything makes me nauseous 3- Im constantly worrying about my band Is this part of the journey? I know the end results will be all worth it.
  8. Since I cannot tolerate beans do you think hummus is ok? Im scared of all the horrible gas pains but I did take gas x strips today they are great!!!
  9. Hey guys.. Are there any ideas for post op soft mushy foods? I am 2 weeks post op today! I cannot tolerate beans at all they kill me! Eggs are starting to make me nauseous and tilapia too. It seems all I can tolerate is peppermint tea. Help I feel like crap...
  10. Hey guys. I am recently banded. I had my surgery on March 28th. I am already down 12 pounds so far!! MY starting weight was 250. I am now 238. I like it so far but I have been noticing that my family and friends are saying things like, I shouldnt keep it in forever, Its a cheat blah blah blah. How do you deal with the negative comments without getting discouraged?
