  1. Today is day 5 for me and it was so rough I called my doctor to see what I could do. I was told that I can have have some steamed or boiled veggies, maybe some crackers and some toast. Not a lot, but just a bit to feel like I'm actually eating something. I had some split pea soup for dinner which filled me up quite nicely. My problem with the shakes is that they're so frothy and sweet. I just can't take them too much longer. I haven't cheated at all and have no plans to, but this has been a struggle. I rank it up there with quitting smoking. I can't wait for the 13th!
  2. @m2012 my surgery date is 12/13 so I have another week of this. I'm worried that I'm not getting enough protein in. Today I only had 2 shakes. I just can't choke them down. I'm having broth, sugar free popsicles and pudding, but it's getting really old. Your doctor had you start the diet without insurance approval yet? I got the approval really fast, within a few days. This whole process has been a total of 5 weeks. Good luck!! Day 5 WILL be ok for us!
  3. I'm on day 4 of the diet and it's just about killing me. BUT... I know that there's light at the end of the tunnel and that I can do this. You can too. It's rough, but keep it up. These next couple of weeks will fly by. Good luck!
