  1. I went for my follow up today and was notified that I will be on liquids for one more week, then can start puree then soft foods. I am so excited for this and happy how well im doing and want to do my best without going overboard, any suggestions??
  2. just had the drain taken out this morning and it was a cinch, guess I was just working myself up lol
  3. I had my surgery on thursday, December 8th. I had a drain put in during surgery. I have a follow up with my surgeon on wednesday, but I was just curious as to when on average the drain stops leaking?? I emptied it this morning after sleeping and there was 2 tbs of liquid, now the tube is getting clear and the drain is slowing, is this normal? The drain site is kinda pulling and is sore....
  4. I just had my surgery on thursday and I am starving!!! I was told that the hunger enzyme grelin or whatever it is is removed or lessened during surgery, I dont know but everything I see I wanna eat, I am strictly on clear liquids boo

  7. Hello everyone!!!! So after months of appointments, copays and pre-op diets, the date is finally here!!! My surgery is tomorrow, December 8th, I am so nervous/excited to start my new life. Its funny because my grandma and I have the same surgeon but are having different procedures, sleeve for me, bypass for her, and they are both tomorrow. Hoping to have the same room or at least a private room, I dont mind paying alittle extra lol. So here is my checklist, any suggestions please feel free to add, thanks!!! Comfy clothes to go home in Toiletries Gas X Strips Chapstick Phone/charger Nasal spray I feel like I am leaving something out.....
  8. Just curious as to how many nights on average everyone had to stay in the hospital? I have to be at the hospital at 6am for 830 am surgery on thursday the 8th....
  9. My surgery is on thursday, and I was already informed by my surgeon that I will have a drain, and it will be removed on my one week follow up appt.

  11. thank you all so much, and penpen your blog really helped!! do they send the pain med home ith you or is that something I will have to stop before I go home and get because I have a feeling that I will want to go home asap lol :biggrin:

  13. my surgery is on december 8th, and while I am very excited and anxious, I am very fearful of what the hospital stay/pain will be like.....I have never stayed in a hospital and I think I am just syking myself out?? please help!!! :confused5:
