  2. Hi, size10! I, also, have some restriction when I'm empty. But not enough to keep me from eating a hamburger or bread. If I am without Fluid, I dangerous. If there is a way to out eat my band, I will, and I have. So I'm forced to b tight so that I can't get bad foods down, but that also means I can't always get good foods down. Such is life I must choose my battles wisely :-) Perhaps the constant sinus drainage is due to ur body over reacting to ur band and treating it as a foreign invader? I know most everyones nose runs a lot when we get stuck......maybe it's ur body's way of trying to rid itself of ur band ci it doesn't like it??? Just a thought. ASK UR DOC :-)
  3. Fabulous!!! Will u share a sample menu with me? Would love to know ur secrets.....or how many calories do u consume daily? And workout consists of what and for how long? Great job!!
  4. OMG. We have so much in common. I just went under hypnosis for the first time yesterday! She gave me a recording to listen to. I'm seeing her weekly for 6 weeks to help get a handle on this. So happy to know there r others just like me.....
  5. I can still drink soda. Have always been a diet pepsi or diet coke fan. I can even drink beer. Everyone is different. A colleague of mine can not do any carbonation!!!
  6. Me me me!!! Been banded 5 yrs. lost 110, gained back 30! Just got a new fill and looking for support. I'm a band expert.......but I know how to out eat it and eat and eat around it. I made sure this last fill was Tight enuf To make me drink protein shakes in the AM, soup for lunc'H and soft proteins at night. Bread and rice r out of the question!! But I struggle with this EVERYDAY. Nice to know I'm not alone :-)
  7. U have had problems for a month....trust me when I tell u that u r simply too tight!!!! Classic symptoms. A lot of us who r in our sweet fill spot have to "warm it up" for business in the morning by drinking something warm. Cold things makes it a little tighter......trust me :-) call, go get a slight unfill. Everytime u do this, ur irritating ur pouch and will get so swollen u can not swallow anything.....again, trust me, been there done that a zillion times. I'm surprised the clinic hasn't told u to come in......u would b surprised at how just a slight unfill will make it better. If u have any heart burn/acid reflux, u r 1000% too tight.....ur doc should do fluro on u to see just how tight u r. Any questions? Message me anytime
  8. Exactly!!!!! Take it from me, the queen of PBing and all that. If u slip, u won't even b able to swallow ur own saliva let alone anything else! It irritates, warm liquids for the next 2 days. If this doesn't work, then u need to get in to the doc so they can Fluor u and do an unfill.I was unfilled for a year while I healed due to bein a bad girl with my band. I ate alL the wrong things. For me salmon never worked, neither did most meat if it was too dry. Chew chew chew, use ur tongue to pulverize it against the roof of ur mouth b4 u swallow.....it works. U can message me anytime, I'm banded 5 years this month!
  9. Rule of thumb: if it tastes just like it does coming up as it did going down, it's not vomit. There is no HCL acid in ur PBs. Vomit is forceful. BP is burp and up it comes. If this is happening a lot u r irritating ur pouch. Chew 30x b4 swallowing. If this isn't working u need a slight unfill. I am fortunate enuf to b a patient of tHe fabulous Jessie Ahroni, who wrote the LapBand book that most surgeons recommend u read. She wAs my fill nurse the past 5 years......I'm full of knowledge and very experienced with the band.Message me anytime!!
  10. So, I've been banded 5 years. I know it all.....if ur nose is running, STOP eating. It's one of the body's defense mechanisms. It happens when u r stuck as a result of being too tight or not chewing well. If u keep throwing up, go back to liquids and soft foods for a day or two. No solid food for 2 days. Give it a chance to heal and let swelling go down. After this eat slowly and chew chew chew before u swallow. It takes a lot of getting used to. Feel free to message me any time. I'm an expert
  11. I love my adult libations. YES, when I drink, I lose less. It's worth it at the time, but I don't think it is overall. For me I can't stop at 1.....so 3/4 of the reason I ever gain is cuz I drink. :-/

I've been banded almost 5 years. Started at 316. Got down to 240 in 8 months then got pregnant. Baby born, then I continued until i got down to 195. For the past 2 yrs I've been up and down between 220 and 245. I went in and got another fill and now I can't eat much. I need it to b that way. If I can eat it I will. So for me, being tight is the only way it works for me. Long story short.....it's ok! Ur doc is there to help u! Get ur self in and get that fill! Nothing to b ashamed of! U didn't go thru this to not utilize it! Go! Get to it :-)
