I am new to here, I had the band for 2 years and lost 80 pounds and then got so much acid it caused me to !ose some teeth. Found out it was cutting into my stomach. Had a revision to bypass on Feb 17 th and found out band got wrapped around bottom of my heart. So glad I had it removed.

I was banded in 2011 and around 6 months ago I started having comp!ications with acid coming up in my throat, I had a endoscope done in December and band was eroding into my stomach and I had a ulcerated esophagus, The doc removed the Fluid and I had a revision done on Feb 17,2014. I was surprised to find out my band was wrapped around my heart and I wonder what would have happened to me and if I would have had more damage if I had waited any longer.My heart was bruised but no complications. I now have R N Y bypass. I lost 80 pounds with the band and was happy at first.

We I have officially been banded one year!!!!!:-) and what a year it has been. I guess I consider myself a lap band success story. I have lost a proximately 40 pounds since last year. my clothing size has gone from 20 to a size 12. my shoe size has gone from a 9 and a half to a size 8. is journey has not been easy but well worth it. I am proud that I made my goal in 1 year. my next and final goal is a size 10. which I hope to accomplish by august. as soon as I get my laptop back I will load my before and after pictures I think god for this website because it's really help me go through my journey. thanks lbt fam
