  1. He is a big BOOB! He doesn't understand what you going through! I am so happy your doing this for you! Today I found out my husband's cousin is going to get sleeved! So awesome. This is the best decision I have made for myself.
  2. People like that are so stupid! I'd report them to the supervisor and pat myself on the back. Time for some education for these B******! Take a look in the mirror ASAP and notice how beautiful you are! Yes you! This is hard work, and it's better than dying from obesity and health complications. Those people are not worth any of your time! You have to strut yourself and rock that sleeve of yours! You are a success. It's going to take all your energy to focus on a beautiful life ahead of you.
  3. Softer foods are sf pudding, jello, yogurt...... anything that is mushie.
  4. You are doing great! I do have a suggestion for you though. Please put the scale away, hide it in the closest if you must! It is only going to cause you stress. It is very inconsistent. If you haven't measured yourself yet, this would be a good time to do it. That is going to be the best tool for measuring your weight loss. Believe me, your stomach is 85% smaller. You will feel it when you start eating softer and regular foods later on out. CONGRATS!
  5. I am so proud of SLEEVE4ME! She is a big success story! Can't wait to see every one at the meeting in November!
  6. This is a time to take full advantage of your sleeve and try to follow your surgeon's and NUT diet to a T for maximum weight loss. You are only 10 days out and your stomach is still swollen. This is the time to go easy and baby your stomach. Drink some protein drink if you can't resist. At 10 days I was allowed to have sf pudding, yogurt, sf jello, and soups. This helped me lose weight faster and i am very thankful I followed this plan.
  7. Now this is absolutely fabulous! Good job and happy your b/s is normal now! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy! Keep it up and I look forward to seeing more process in the near future.
  8. CONGRATS! I bet you can feel your collarbone too! Your Grandpa needs to tell you more often how wonderful you are and how proud he is of you! Keep Rockin that Sleeve!
  9. I am totally confused by this. Now, isn't sushi fish? Or was it wrapped with rice? I know that a french fry is a carb. To me, hypoglycemia is when you have really low blood sugar. When I eat I sometimes have sxs listed above when eating very little to no carbs. This freaks me out. Thank you for this info. I think I have to have a more balanced diet and add a few extra carbs to my diet to avoid these sxs.
  10. This weekend I have watched myself get out of control. I am just over 1 year post op and look great. Not down to where my mind thinks I want to be but looking really good and feeling good. I really need to work on my mindset. I know that if there's something that is sweet sitting on the counter, I will eat it, even if I'm not hungry. I have asked my hubby to not buy this stuff because I'm the one that ends up eating it, and yet he still did, and I have trouble telling him no, to buying sugar free cookies. So now I need to work on my mind and stopping thinking about food when I'm not hungry. This is such a struggle for me. It would probably be easier to have surgery on my brain. LOL Anyways, I am freaked out when I read something about our ghrelin hormone coming back and causing us hunger. Need to research this. Thanks for listening, tomorrow I will be on protein drinks to get back to basics. Oh I am a terrible stress eater.

This is so frustrating to be right there and to have this problem that is going to post pone your dream come true. you have to wait. The time will go by fast and you will be sitting next to us on the BIG LOSER'S BENCH really soon!
  12. How about a naked sandwhich with protein, protein, and more protein. I don't eat breads but I will order the insides and enjoy the center. Yum, Yum, Yum.....
  13. I hope you really don't believe that you can live on less fluids. This is really dangerous territory. This is a great time to increase your water intake. Try putting some flavor in it and when you get hungry drink some water because your hunger could actually be mimicking your thrist. Trust eating more and then your body has to work double hard to get all the moisture out of your food. Please start increasing your fluid intake to prevent any kind of dehydration. Also dehydration also can cause kidney damage and your blood thickens and can cause strokes. So Please Drink a lot of fluids. You can change this!
  14. Thank you everyone. For some reason I'm more afraid about having this surgery than I was about getting sleeved. That means I will have an additional 5 go 6 incision cites. Wow, what is my stomach going to look like, "a shooting range?" LOL
  15. I am very sad to hear they lost their funding. Are there any other options for you?
  16. Both of you are going to lose a lot of weight and have a healthy beautiful body!
  17. In order to be successful in our journey, it is necessary to do all the hard work of preparing (pre-opt) and educating ourselves on how our food addiction manifests itself within us. The sleeve is just a tool help with portion control. It's our head that gets us into eating too much, eating the wrong foods that aren't nutritious, ect. This is hard work but also very rewarding. This is a journey for the rest of our lives and it's our job to do the work. CONGRATS! Today is my 1 year surgiversary and happy I did the work. Still have a lot of work to do though.
  18. I love taking care of yourself! Being proactive helped save a lot of anxious moments! CONGRATS!
  19. That would be a long effect on Heparin. I'm not a doctor so it would be good to get a medical doc's intake on this. Have you called your dentist? The quickest way to get a quick answer would be to call your surgeon's office and let them know what's going on and they can give you some feedback or order some blood workup. Let us know what's going on.
  20. This must be scarey for you, I'm reading this and thinking can't your surgeon figure out what's going on? I'm with your NUT on this, eat whatever you can keep down. What if you went back to basics of a liquid diet for a few days and try to reintroduce some foods then? Can you ask the doc if there's too much stricture? If it was my surgeon, I would keep calling every day or go and see him. You are 8.5 weeks post op, you've paid your dues and they need to be a little more proactive in figuring out what's going on with you. Meanwhile, go back to broths and drinking water to stay hydrated. Let us know how your doing.
  21. The bubbly stuff is most likely gas. Maybe you could call your surgeon's office and describe the bubbling and they can give you feedback on what you can do. That's what the office is for, to call in and ask questions when needed. Here's to a fast recovery!
  22. Instead of being a chicken, why don't you call the office and reschedule and just go and ask the surgeon questions that you are afraid of. Give it a chance and don't let your anxiety get you down.
