  1. Around the 6 month mark I slowed down a lot. I was near goal but the weight kept coming off at a slower rate. You have done really good on your weight loss. CONGRATS!
  2. Do not take diet pills........ This is part of the process, your body is adjusting in other ways. Perhaps sit back, take a deep breath, and remind yourself that this will take a little time. It will move again. Remember to drink a lot of water to cleanse and hydrate your body. I know at this point it's difficult to eat a much of anything, but focus on getting your protein in. Drink protein shakes to help with dropping more weight.
  3. OMG~ mini chocolate cadburry eggs I ate a whole small pack and was so nauseous......
  4. BTW, there are no stupid questions. This question is very relevant to all of us......Thanks for asking it....
  5. Wait and see what happens.... If you need to have it removed, it's a piece of cake compared to being sleeved. I'm a week out from gallbladder removal and feeling no pain since day 1. I mean the incision sites...
  6. OMG! You look like a whole different person! Very hot and SEXY! CONGRATS!
  7. I would say no due them being purely sugar. That can cause a problem in itself. I have some small marshmellows in my cubboard that I've been noticing a lot lately but remind myself of the sugar content. I am working on avoiding foods that have sugars in them. I am working on eating the foods that have no sugar added. I do love eating fruits too......
  8. When I see those posts, I don't read them so it doesn't bother me......The people who post those are dealing with their fears and anxiety and are looking for some relief. There thoughts are telling them that their a failure and had made a big mistake......A lot of people don't know how to go back a search for past topics so they are looking for support from others today, in this moment.... This is a support group and there will be a million more posts like these. So I recommend just not reading them and going to a post that interest you. You are doing great on your weight loss and have most likely experienced stalls and what not...... CONGRATS!
  9. Start being more diligent about getting your protein in...... If you don't get your protein in, your body will start breaking down the muscle mass you have and cause a lot of deficencies in different areas. I am 18 months out and I drink a protein shake everyday and eat about 90gms of protein a day...... Now you are 6 weeks post opt so it will be harder to get in all your recommended proteins so get as much protein as you can. You can do this..... Premier Chocolate shakes are really good too.......
  10. You said it all..... Look at how your life has changed for the better.....I love these changes.......Now that the easy part is over around the 6 month mark, weight loss does slow down and this gives you time to recognize the triggers to eating unhealthy foods and to establish better exercise routines.... Keep it up...
  11. Looking good! Can't wait to see you in a months!
  12. The good news is: You caught it! Now let's get back on track and get it off. This is a life time change and so be diligent about eating healthy and exercising. Read the book by David Kessler called "No more overeating." It will enlighten you as to the reasons behind our food addictions....... You've got this and Sleeve of Steel has given you the best advice her...........
  13. I find myself doing mindless eating a lot and realize I need to get it under control. I also have seen myself eat stuff when I'm not hungry when I'm stressed, worried, scared, angry, or even really really happy. Those are my past behaviors and now I'm trying to change that. The thing that I do differently is, I eat a lot of peanuts because I don't have much that's not healthy in the house. I have been finding myself eating a couple extra protein bars because I want something that's sweet. Perhaps taking notice of your tendency to do mindless eating will help you catch yourself in the process and perhaps change it with something a little bit more healthy like taking a walk. Calling a friend on the phone or family. Oh and make sure you dont miss any meals. That will set you up for failure.....Hang in there, this is a really rough time for you right now, not knowing where your relationship is going or is it gone? Reach out to us if you need some help.....
  14. This sounds very concerning. It might be an easy procedure but the side effects sound horrible. I hope that it doesn't come to that. thank you for sharing with us....
  15. Laura, what's going on? I didn't know that your having complications.......We are all pulling for you and hope to get answers really quick......
  16. Great job on losing 100 lbs. Hope you get the other stuff figured out quickly...... At 6 months our weight loss does slow down or stall but will pick up again soon if eating healthy...... Let us know what's causing the pain and sending healing energy your way.............
  17. Thank you they look very yummy!
  18. Your looking great! Keep it up.......
  19. This is one of th hardest times for u and ur family right now. Enjoy all the minutes u have left with her. Hospice care may be able to provide a therapist to help with the loss of ur loves one. Just know that she is in ur heart and is so proud of u.
  20. Yep, this is the part that really sucks! There is a period where some of us were really hungry due to ghrelin still in our systems.....It will past, you will do just fine, drink some more soup if you need to or better yet, some protein shake will help.....You may have acid in your stomach so it might be advisable to take a PPI (nexium, omeprazole, prilosec, tums, etc.) with your surgeons approval of course.
  21. OMG! CONGRATS! I can see myself in you shoes really soon. Didn't think I would want too...
  22. This really makes me sad.........God bless him.......
