    Has Anyone Used These Guys

Hi Revtoby, I used Mexico Surgery Solutions to book my WLS. To be honest, It was one of the the absolute BEST decisions I have EVER made. I had researched WLS for a very long time starting within the states, then looking for something that, not only could I afford but that I could be comfortable with. I had researched several doctors ect. in Mexico. I did so much researching, up all hours of the night, looking for what felt right/perfect. I am such a skeptic and had heard so many horrible things that I wasn't sure if I would ever find what I was looking for. I had spoke with several companies, BeLiteWeight.com, alighterme.com, WeightLossAgents, and obesityhelp, just to name a few. Although these people were nice, no one stood out to me, as far as what I felt that I was looking for or needed. Then one evening I was looking aroung in some forums and asking questions. That is when I found Rick from Mexico Surgery Solutions. I must admit he had ALL of the answers to EVERY question/concern that I had , up to this point. It did not take me speaking with him only a few time before I knew, without a doubt, that this was the path I had been searching for. Rick is so helpful and caring of your concerns and being a sleever himself, knows the importance of you being comfortable with your experience, as a whole. Not just getting you booked for surgery but everything before during and after your surgery. Rick helped me with everything, from booking my flight, to the best protien drinks ect. during pre-op diet. I have never felt more comfortable with someone, whom I had never met. I could say SO much more but I want to give you a little info., as well about my experience upone arriving in Mexico and the doctors and everything else. Trust me when I say I could write a book about my experience but I just want to give you the info. to help you make this life changing decision. Before my surgery, Dr. Serrano (one of the doctors with affiliated with Mexico Surgery Solutions) called me 5 times. First for the consult, but the remaining time was just checking, making sure I had no questions/concerns or to see if my husband had any of the same. He called to see how the pre-op diet was going, never have I felt that a doctor was actually concerned about me and how I was leading up to a surgery. So my surgery was scheduled for Dec. 13th 2011. I am going to skip all the in betweens, if you want to know any details I M me. I do want you to know my experience because I think it is important to know about the doctors, the atmosphere and all to make your WLS experience everything that it should be. To be honest, while I was in Mexico, I met some of the BEST most CARING doctors that I have ever met. I will try to simplify this, as best as I can... Let me explain first, that I didn't have WLS. During the pre-op tests the doctors found that I have a heart condition. A condition that would have to be fixed before having WLS. All of the doctors involved met with each other and decided that it would be to much of a risk to have WLS not knowing if my heart could make it through. Mexico has such a bad rep. for not caring about their patients and just "in it for the money" but these doctors actually care about every patient, as a person not just looking for a quick buck. I was alone during this whole experience and I felt comfortable and happy with everydecision that was made during this experience. Like I said before I could write a book based solely on my this one experience. I HIGHLY recommend you using mexicosurgerysolutions. Your whole experience starting from booking (the hotels, the doctors, the hospital) will be great. With these doctors you will know that your health is their top priority. Good Luck with your journey to success. I wish you all the best..

    December sleevers!

Not so exciting for me... Day of my surgery and guess what.. No surgery.. :'( Found a heart issue :'( So as for now, no surgery. I am so glad that that this heart thing was found now, as opposed to later. My dad passed at a very early age due to heart problems. So I am thankful for the early finding. But I am very depressed for no surgery and with the new issue added to my life. :'(

    Gastric Sleeve Surgery Today

Congrats.. I have mine Tuesday.. So excited.. Glad to hear another success story...
  7. Sleeve2B Thanks for your kind words. I told my husband that I can't wait till next Wednesday (The day after surgery). If I can get through to that day I will be great. I have done very well with the liqued pre-op diet. Just more tired than normal. I have prayed so much about everything leading to the surgery. For my family, as well as myself, to make it through this procedure. I pray that life after, will be all that I dream that it will be and I can finally be happy and my inside and outside will match. I can't seem to stay focused on anything else except this surgery and life after.. I feel guilty for using money that I could spend on my family, on myself.. :'( I never spend on me.. and it doesn't feel good when I do. I can't wait to get it done but sad at the same time? I guess this is my way of dealing with the wait. After all I am OCD.. I will keep praying... I'm sure all will be okay, then I can focus on the new life...

    December sleevers!

How much weight have you lost during your pre-op. My surgery is the 13th. I have been on all liquid pre-op since Saturday. As of this morning I am down 7lbs..
  9. I started my 10 day liquid diet Saturday. Haven't cheated, the first day wasn't so bad but the 2nd day way a little tough... Was hungry, pretty much all day but I was out most of the day and didn't have access to the things that I needed. These last couple days have been fine. I have been drinking EAS AdvantEDGE carb control protein drinks. The Chocolate Fudge is awesome. I have had all of the flavors but the Chocolate fudge is the best(when they are cold) I am looking at the big picture and that is what has helped me, so far. My surgery is the 13th. So excited and nervous. Good luck and prayers to everyone. <3

    In The Beginning...

Hi Waterlover Do you have insurance? Are you self pay? I am pre-op. My surgery is scheduled for Dec. 13th in Tj, Mexico with Dr, Lopez. I have been researching WLS for over a year now. I have attended seminars, online research. You name it Ive used it as a research tool. I have insurance but they won't even consider WLS. So I researched local and surrounding states hosp. for WLS info and costs. If you are self-pay, your looking about $18,500 to start and they won't touch you until they have the money upfront. I then started looking into other options. After a lot more research and much help from my coordinator. I decided to have my surgery in Mexico. If this is an option for you. I personally suggest Mexoco Surgery Solutions. mexicosurgerysolutions.com Rick is the coordinator and he is awesome. He is so helpful and informative. He, as well had VSG surgery, so he is personal with his journey. Dr. Seranno is one of the Dr's their that works with you and talks to you along the way. Just wanted to let you know of my experience so far and I have had such a great experience working with this group. They have helped me so much along the way. The stress everytime you speak, Your health is their number 1 priority. Not to mention everything is done in a hospital, not a clinic. So you will be in good hands. Good luck on making your decision. :-)
  14. Hi Suzanne I have a couple of questions. I haven't received many responses to posts I've made. I was just kinda wondering if you could help me with a few questions/concerns that I have. I have been researching WLS for about a year now. I do have insurance but they told me that they will pay NOTHING toward WLS. So I took my research elsewhere. All of the Hosp. in my area, if you are self pay the cheapest is $18,500(up front) There is noway I can afford that. After much research, I have decided to have my surgery in Tj with Dr. Lopez. The Doc is great. I have already talked several times with one of the Docs. That isn't a concern, at all. My issues started last a week ago, when I started to get extremely depressed. Then all of these horrible things started going through my head and stealing all the happy thoughts and excitement I have been having... :-( My fears are being the .01% that has a fatality and my family will have to suffer from a decision that I made. I am also going alone, wasn't supposed to happen that way But money reasons, my hubby can't go. Did you have pre-op depression? Are there any inspirational thoughts or suggestions that you could give me. Including Pre-Op diet... Your experience... Day of surgery... Awakening after surgery.. Ect.. Anything would be greatful to me... Thanks so much for listening...
