    Really ?!!! Am I Alone?

I am constantly in front of non-dieters...in my own home and at work. What works for me is knowing that what they are eating isn't going to help any of them look or feel better. It is hard when you are hungry and want to stuff anything in your face, but!, take a breath and remind yourself that YOU are on a journey of being healthy and fit! Food is not life. It's hard to break old habits but it can be done! Let the snackers snack and us 'losers' lose!

    It Happened

I haven't had that stuck feeling yet...banded a week...and am not looking forward to it! It sounds more than unpleasant! Thanks for the blog, it helps knowing what others are going thru...

    Confused

I felt like that too...I just clicked around until I felt like I got somewhere. Still learning!
  6. Dr. Christopher Eagon was my lap band surgeon that I had done on Nov. 14, 2011. As a Doctor he is very kind, takes time to address any questions you have and will be honest with you about what to expect. The downside is when you have an appointment with his office, don't expect to get in and out quickly because he does spend time with each patient. The day of surgery Dr. Eagon was prompt and his staff made sure I was informed about what to expect in every aspect. Considering how nerve wracking surgery can be overall it was a good experience. I had little pain, and healing nicely. I would recommend him to a friend for sure!
  7. Hi... I am 6 days post op and the thing that hurt me the most was the gas...gas-x strips took alot of the pain away. It is hard sometimes watching or even listening to your family eat but I keep telling myself it will be worth it in the long run! Did you have to do a low calorie or liquid before your surgery? That took off 15 lbs in a week for me...and if I was losing weight like you are I'd be jumping for joy! Hang in there...every day it is easier and you will know you did the right thing for you!
  8. Liquid tylenol for adults...my pain was so low that I didn't take pain pills but for 2 days. (and be forewarned! pain pills very well may constipate you, trust me on this! I even took the stool softener with it...ugh!) I am on day 5 and have used tylenol when needed, usually at night. Good luck!

    Four Days Post Op

Hi, I am 5 days post op and not feeling hungry. However, when my kid is munching potato chips it makes me want to eat...something I will have to get over. I do not feel like I could eat anything though...still soup, jello, and stuff like that. I don't want to screw up my band!
  10. Hello...newbie to this. Only 4 days out of surgery, but feeling great!
