sandybraman I would have never been able to go through the week of Christmas on that darn sugar buster diet !! I hated it but I did get some weight off!! Being banded is not meant to always be easy for us but it is going to be rewarding in the end. Family support is a big tool to have and we can also work together and give advise of what we have done to keep each other sane. -

I was also banded on 12/20. I hate that you are having problems! Like you, I also researched it alot and I was a light weight. My weight at surgery was 201 with 224 my highest. I was very very weak for the first few days and it was because I did not have any carbs in my diet. I know it was against the rules but I had two small teaspoons of potato soup and I have felt great since then! Get gas x strips for the sounds coming from your tummy and keep taking it whether you think you need it or not.. I hope that they can fiix your hematoma issues. Today I ws able to eat a few bites of some Christmas dinner and it made me very happy but I know that I was being bad. Keep in touch.. we are going to get through all this together. -
As much as I have enjoyed the smells, food and and fellowship of the season, I have to admit that I am ready to get back to normal life. All of the extra sweets and casseroles have tempted me..... I was able to have small bites of a few things and as happy as that made me, I know that in the year to come, I will have to resist and make better choices. I am only 5 days post op.. (12/20) and it amazes me that I have been able to eat any thing! I hope the holiday has been as good to you as...

I was banded on the 20th. I have really been laying around and allowing myself tto heal.. I somewhat feel like I wanna cry but I think that is tears of joy becaause it is time to start a journey to a better me. I am ready to show the world what I can do.. I like the isopure drinks for protein.. tastes really good. and I am drinking chicken broth. it does stink that I can not have any christmas food but hey that is another 15 pounds that I will never have to try to loose.. -

I am small too compared to the average lapband patient according to my doctor. I am now 202 pounds. I started at 224. Well I have comobities that are also at plan and alot of genetic factors also. I wanted this. I wanted my surgeron to do this. He is following my issues. Morally he could turn me down.. but my insurance has approved me and this is what he is in business to do. Prob same scenario with you... -

I AM ALSO BEING BANDED TOMORROW. I can not wait.. I am so ready to start this new process and change my life in soo many ways.. I am going to go and get a pair of jeans from American eagle that is the biggest size that they sell and I want to fit in them within 6 months! That is my first goal.. That would require dropping from an 18 to a 12! u think I can do it??

I tell every one. I did not right out post it on my facebook on any thing but every one at work knows as many helped me on my journey to get approved! They are all excited, and some even jealous cause they want it too!! I can not wait to get mine done. I think once it is know, you have a bigger support system and you are able to hold your self to higher standards and have more motivation to succeed. Telling people for me was like a reminder that FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION.... -

sandy you need to eat eat eat before you go!! U have to have that bmi of 35. Mine was borderlline but I found that I have shrunk! I am 5''4 insted of 5'5 !! -

I want to enjoy doing things with my kids and family. My husband is a big outside guy and so is my daugter. I usually stay home while they go do things because all the walking just wears me out!! One day, I decided to ride the golf cart with my daughter and went to "jump"" on while she was going at a super slow speed, well, my fat butt could not jump on..... and I fell... needless to say, it was a realization that momma cant jump cause she is too fat!!! So now, I am preop and I am on no sugar diet.. lord I am glad that my sugeron lets us have more than just shakes!! I also have health issues. I had cancer 5 years ago and after my hysterctomy I blew up like a balloon.. now I have made it 5 years cancer free so it is time to get back to life..... -

I use Body by Vi shakes. I add suger free ppudding to them to flavor... ( www. visalus.com) but they taste like cake mix alone. u by the powder mix and can mix in with any thing... why did you get postpponed? -

I started at 220 before my 6 month weight loss diet plan. Now 5 days pre op and I am at 202. The great liquid diet... ughhhh. it stinks but I will do what I have to do to get this weight off me so that I can enjoy life and my family more. I want to go hiking, walking, swimming, and to the beach. I want to have a new freedom that I have not felt in a long time. I want a two peice bikini and not think that I am the beach whale. I love your story and I hope that mine is easy but not too easy because easy is not as appreciated as hard work.
