  1. Not during open enrollment but as a new hire...I will heave to look into that rule.Im in Texas so I wonder if that applys here..Thanks for the info....

I have UHC also and my employer allows for the surgery HOWEVER i am fighting with UHC right now because they are not wanting to pay for it until Aug 30 of next year because I was already overweight when I got the policy...UHC is pretty easy about the Qualifications...complete history and physical..Bmi of 35-39.9 with co morbidities or over 40 without.I have total choice plus..Like I said they cover it just fine and If i wanna wait till aug it will only cost me my ded which is 250....If I cant get the pre existing condition status lifted then I am just about thinking self pay because I just recenty had a bad bout with my hypertension and I really dont want to wait till aug...Hope it all works out for us all....

United healthcare..They cover wls but I havent had it for very long so they are harping pre existing at me.We are trying to get that lifted and I had to supply them with copies of my medical records so we will see....Gonna try and get them to cover it,if I cant get that lifted they wont pay for it till auguat 30th and Im not willing to wait that long.Im ready to be a thinner me....
  4. Hey everyone!!Just wanted to say hi and introduce myslef.I cant wait to get my surgery.Not sure at this moment when that will be or whether my insurance is going to cover it or if Im going to have to self pay.Either way I am super excited to start this new journey!!!
