So let me see if I have this right. All of us Violets and umpteen hundreds of Haydee's and Juan's cousins all wearing the same thing to the wedding? That way no one feels left out. Yup, works for me. However I would really appreciate the "NO" dress thing. I'm not reall partial to them and feel more comfortable in slacks. And I'm up for any color.

Look Ma, no new glasses. I had a slight change in my prescription and the Doc said it was up to me if I wanted to have new glasses made. The ones I have now are 2 years old and my sunglasses I got last year. So I think I'm good for at least another year. My insurance only covers every 2 years anyway. So I'll just wait and have new ones made next time. Hubby's hadn't changed either so that is good news also. Now we are off to go return all of our Dish Network crap back to them. They said they keep sending boxes to us for it but we have never recieved anything. So I had them e-mail me a label to print up. Now we are off to the UPS store to send it all back to El Paso. This morning I made some oatmeal and was only able to get done about a fourth of it. Woo. I hope that eases up a little. I'll see what my water consumption is for the day. Hugs to all.

Jenn, I can't get over how cold it is allready. I'm going to have to go in the garage and get my winter box out and look for some sweatshirts. And the most sad thing is that with this weekend coming up, it will be too cold to go swimming. Labor Day weekend and no swimming??? Yikes.

GOOD Morning Girls. Janie, I will be thinking of you and your parents today and hope that all goes well. So glad you found your phone. I'm working on my new resolve today. It sure is going to be a struggle but I think I'm up to the challenge. Hubby and I will be leaving soon. Today is our annual eye exam. He's not looking forward to it. They will be dialating his eyes and he hates that. I don't get mine done because it turns out that I am allergic to the dye they use. So they just take this thig and tap the side of my eyeball. Hum, why don't they just do that for everyone and save a lot. Oh well. Everyone have a great day and I'll chat at ya later.

Change of subject.... Just got home from the Doc appointment. It was just as I thought it was going to be. I gained 2 pounds. Yup, I said it and I own it. Life goes on. So starting with my new fill. It's a new start and I'm going to ride this. I have 8 weeks to prove to myself that I'm worth all of this and that I am more powerfull that all the negative stuff. Back to walking and watching what I eat. No more shoving. No more DQ. And the worst part is that they have started putting out all the Halloween candy. Lord help me.

Oh how I wish I had read that before I went to bed. I fretted all night long about my Doc appointment today. I just hate dissapointing him. Everyone have a great day and I'll check in later tonight.

I know that Haydee will have her own bridesmaids but I was just wondering if we should all pick out the same dress and go as her unofficial bridesmaids. Think how special that would be to her that we went that extra mile to make it a special day for her. Anyone still have a link to those dresses????

Winding down and getting ready to start a new week. I have a full schedule ahead of me. Busy, busy week.

Home from our little trip down south. We had a blast at the wedding and had a good time with everyone. Made some new friends. Ate way to much and enjoyed it. Doc won't be happy. Oh well. My Doc never lied about anything with the band. He was very upfront in what it coule HELP ME do. That it was a tool for me to use. Apparently right now I don't choose to use it right. I'm always amazed at the people that complain about not losing weight with the band. The band is no more different that using Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher's Gas-By-pass, Rny, or any other program. If you don't use it correctly and follow the rules, you ain't gonna lose. All it ends up being is a waste of your time and everyone else involved. Sometimes I think to myself, why am I not losing? What am I doing wrong? Well, I seem to forget that sometimes it just isn't the quantity of food I eat but also the quality of the food I eat. Can someone actually eat ice cream for their meals and lose? What about the little bites of stuff, The alcoholic drinks? It all adds up. I for one am so glad that I did not have the By-pass. I know 2 people who had it and and have seen the awful struggles they have. Yes they lost the weight and than gained some of it back. But on top of that, they have serious medical problems now. I also believe that my best friend lost her life to it. The health problems that having her intestines shortened caused. I'm not sure God intended for the colon to work that way properly. if He had, He would have shortened it Himself. I will be forever greatful for my Band. Now what I need to work on is getting my head back in the game. I need to quit whinning about it. My band is working, I'm not. As much as I would like to think it is my band, it's actually me. Jane, I think Haydee is meeting with the priest this week. We should know something soon. That is unless I missed something also.

Morning, Sitting here in my Motel 8 room sharing a 1/4 of a bagel with hubby. I'm all showered and dressed and packed, just waiting to go meet up with cousins before we hit the road home. The wedding was really nice and the reception was fun. They had these little things called Tooters. They are shots of I'm guessing Vodka. Different flavors and I had to try all of them to decide which one I liked the best. They all tasted nasty but it took me 8 to finally figure that one out. So far no hang over this morning. I have a Doc appointment tomorrow and I can just see the look on his face. It ain't gonna be good. But I do have a new resolve. My niece in Calif. is getting married next Sept. That and with Haydee's wedding coming up will give me the incentive to get my ass in gear. Ok, time to check out of the hotel. I'll see ya all later today.

Hi, Up and trying to get my butt moving. We'll be leaving about 8:30 to head south. It's about a 3 hour drive for us. Wish me luck with the wedding cake. Jenn good luck with the 1 pound but no matter what, you have done awesome. Kat, how is your SIL doing? Is she having any more problems with her eating and her fills? Home from work. The sun finally came out after several days of hiding. So I fired up the grill and cooked some hamburgers. Yummy, yummy. The rest of the night belongs to laundry and a few things around the house. Have a good one.

Getting ready to call it quits for the day. Did a little bit better on my eating today. I still suck at this though. Sleep tight everyone.

Roller Coaster ride here today. My younger sisters BFF in the whole wide world and who is also like a Sister to both of us has a husband that is on the Liver Transplant list. Last night Hubby woke me up and sayed that they had a call that a liver was available and for them to start getting ready. As luck would have it they were already in the St. Louis area for a Doc appointment. So my Sis and I were getting packed and ready to drive to St. Louis when we got the call that the liver was a no go. They had him in the OR ready to be put out when they told him. Luckily we hadn't left yet but they had to call home and have their son put on Amtrack. So they are waiting for him to arrive before they head home. What a horrible nightmare for them. I'm all stressed out and just sick to my tummy about it. Not just for them but also that someone had just lost their life. To families going thru so much. Please keep all of them in your prayers. Janie, I hadn't called you yet to tell you we were coming. I was going to kind of wait till we got checked in to the hotel and than see what my time line was. Didn't know if we would be able to meet up real quick.

Home from our hospital shift and boy was it a wild one. My feet are killing me right now. Good thing I have this Band, otherwise I would weigh 600 pounds right now.

Jenn, That is so awesome. I admire your strength. Home from work and very tired. I actually got in the pool today and did exercises. It felt so good. I'm glad I enoyed it because it's only going to be in the 70's the rest of the week. I miss summer already.

Laura, I never had any and yet they are back. Hubby and I should be enjoying peace and quiet in his retirement days and yet we have a housefull. Enjoy him and don't wish it away.

I'm up and that's about it. I went to bed a little earlier than usual and slept, just not a solid sleep. So it will be a draggy day for me. Oh well. Kat, I'll post the recipe later tonight. It's a very easy make. Have a great day everyone.

I love going to Fair's. We go alot. I made a chicken burrito casserole for dinner tonight and the guys raved over it. I did think it was pretty good. Not diet food but still good. Took my nephew to his NA meeting and I sat in the parking lot and did my Bible class homework. It was nice and peaceful there and I could concentrate. Got almost all of it done. Semi-busy day tomorrow. Hopefully it will get warm enough to get in the pool for a little while. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Welcome back Pam. I loved going camping, just can't talk hubby into it. He's motel kid of guy. My Aunt and cousin came over to go swimming. They had a great time. I just found it still too cool to get it. The pool temp was 85 degrees but the outside temp is 77. Just a little too cool for me. I'm so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open.
