  1. Happy 26th Birthday OhHeyMissJay!

  2. Happy 25th Birthday OhHeyMissJay!

  3. Remember that muscle weighs more than fat. Increased protein intake, combined with increased physical activity would explain the change in inches and not the scale. You are toning your body... that is great! Keep up the good work and remember good things come to those who wait!

    One Month Bandiversary

Nick sounds like a great support, you are lucky to have him and that cheesecake recipe too! Also a trick for pants that are too big is to pull them all the way up so they aren't loose and belt them where you want the waistline to be then fold over... it helps with rapid weight loss so we can continue to focus on our weight loss goals and not our wardrobe. Happy Loosing! XO

    November Bandsters!!!

Ok So I have a question I am hoping someone can help me with... I started drinking my protein supplements this week and as of now I have been drinking 4oz (20g) 2x per day (in between meals) Am I supposed to treat them as a meal and not drink anything an HR before and after? or should I just be using the protein as a once a day meal replacement?
  6. I'm soo glad you posted this! I went to Mexico and was able to get my band filled during the procedure and am in amazement at the lack of discomfort I've experienced in terms of restriction. I am only on the puree portion of the diet which may be why but even in the first days things were smooth sailing... I've already lost 12lbs!

    November Bandsters!!!

I DID IT!!!! I was banded on Friday and as I sit here in my hospital bed sipping on tea, apple juice and jello I realize this is the most empowering thing I've ever done... Ya there was pain involved but when I compare it to the pain of trying on clothes or being just a pretty face all these years it motivates me to work harder! I am sooo proud of all of us who have committed to taking control of our lives and not allowing food to be our BFF anymore! I hate that part of me has been embarrassed about getting banded bc in my mind I felt like it was a cop out... If I only buckled down. But now I realize that the true cop out was my binge eating, not taking a step forward to attain the long and healthy life I deserve to live! I have kept this from many who are close to me bc I was scared of what they might say but I can't wait to tell them that NOW I am in controll!! thanks to everyone for all your support! I couldn't have don't it without you!
  8. Congratulations on your Banding! Hope you're recovering well and it will get better each day. Just so you know, we started out at similar weights/heights...not too far off (5'8"/248 lbs., less at Banding)...I was 142.5 this week, so keep the faith...it will take some time, but it will give you SO much time back! Keep me posted!

  9. Your before & after pics are awesome! - so motivating!

  10. Hope you are feeling well! Sending positive vibes your way!

  11. Good Luck! I hope everything went well, keep us updated! :)

  12. Hi, I noticed that we have the same band date and start weight! I'd love to keep in contact and help encourage one another! :)

    November Bandsters!!!

I will be banded November 18th... I cannot believe how quickly this is all happening! I need all the support I can get... this isn't going to be easy alone!
  14. I came across your profile as I was looking for some help getting all the necessary protein, as I am a vegetarian, and a lousy one at that. I do not like soy or tofu... or any of the "fake meat". I am getting banded in less than 10 days and am trying to prepare post op meal plans for the first month. Let me know if you have any tips or tricks. Thank you.
