TGIF, Vi's!~~ Busy day... work then lots of driving around this eve... kids here & there... everywhere! DH leaves today for the MS 150-mile bike ride weekend, so it's just me having all the parenting/chauffeuring fun! Make it a good one, girlies!

Good Thursday Morn, Vi's~~ A "regular" day here today... work, errands, etc... amazingly no after-school activities today! School here gets out on Tuesday... the kids are counting the days! Everyone do something nice for yourself today!!

Great idea, Kat! C'mon, it's not that hard... what's one thing you like about yourself: first thing that pops into your head! Go! Me? I'm reliable. I'm funny. I'm loyal. I'm too nice. See... it's easy once you get going!! Now the moving part??? ok, ok... I'll wilt the lettuce if I dance "au naturel" in the kitchen, but I will do some form of conscious excercise. THANKS, KAT!!

How scary, Haydee! Purple power going out to her -- & your whole family, who I'm sure everyone was at the hospital, right? Just got the first chapters of a big project in today... yay!... $$$... :cursing: Big thunderstorms this afternoon & eve... "hail the size of nickles" they said on the news... & it was! I've been sleeping like crap lately, so am going to hit the hay early tonight... sweet dreams!

Good Saturday Morn, Vi's~~ Congratulations, Heather... what a doll baby!! Enjoy her. A typical busy Saturday taking kids to activities, etc... unbelievably, we have NOTHING planned for tomorrow! That is very rare around here! We want to go see "Up!"... it's getting great reviews & I'm such a sucker for "kid" movies. Enjoy the weekend!

I know I'm in a crotchety mood this week, but all these arrangements are making my head spin! Honestly, I don't care about the food... whoever wants to cook whenever is fine w/me... abut I am leaning more toward the EATING OUT option, because then we can each get exactly what we can & want to eat, + can share + won't have a 'frig full of leftovers at the end of the trip. So I hereby resign from food coordinator... it's a free for all... if someone wants to cook for everyone, great... if not, fine too, something tells me we won't starve!!

Judy, there's a "restuarant guide" on the list, so there must be some restaurants! :confused: Because everyone's eating styles/tastes are so different, I kinda thought that we'd do our own things for b'fast & lunch... then try to coordinate dinners... that was the approach I was working with... but I am not married to it. For instance, personally, altho I will be on a more "relaxed" food plan for the weekend, I still would like to try to eat healthfully when I can (gives me more cals for drinkie-poos!) Thoughts?

Hey Suzie, I spent $120 @ Sam's Club so we're both doing our part for the economy! I was stocking up on pool snacks, which will be starting soon... my kids get out June 16, and it seems all they do is EAT over the summer! The resignation letter is simply 2 sentences. It could've been just 1, but I had to put a snarky line in there w/ a jab at those who tried to oust me earlier, stupid people, and allude to the fact that I kept my commitment to the school (even though it would've been WAY less stress to quit earlier this spring). This is it: "I hereby tender my resignation from the position of PTA President, effective July 1, 2009. As understood since last June, this concludes my commitment to serve out the first year of the two-year term for which I was elected in June 2008. Best Wishes..." But after tomorrow night, the new Board will be elected & there are no more PTA activities/functions for me to supervise, so basically it'll be just transition stuff... so in my mind I'm "done" tomorrow night. Yay! Am going out for a margi (margis?) afterward! Back to work...

Goodnight, my lovelies... Went to the HS Awards Night & presented the PTA's scholarship award... love doing that! Then FINALLY the PTA treasurer came over (@ 9pm!) so we could finalize the report & forecast out 'til the end of the month & the end of the school year... with all my eagle-eyed micromanagement of the budget, we did pretty well overall... only about $500 under where we wanted to be... which w/smaller profits on fundraisers, I'm ok with. I just typed up my resignation letter, too!! WOOT! I turn that in on Thurs @ the LAST MEETING! Hallelujah! A huge thunderstorm is rolling in... I love t'storms... will go snuggle into bed & listen while I fall off to sleep... G'night!

Good Tuesday Morn, Vi's~~ I'm back home... got in @ 11:45pm. Long day. Haydee, did you ever get home?? The last time I saw her was @ the DFW airport being told that she missed her flight to Houston (our flight from PS to DFW left late) & she wasn't looking very happy... but I had to dash to my gate & when I got there it was already boarding! Did Juan enjoy his In N Out Burgers? Have hit the ground running this a.m.... had an 8am call from some mom about the yearbook... agh! Can't they let me get my coffee first? Yowza. But I "prepped" my to-do list last night on the plane, as a transition from fantasty life to reality life... I kinda felt like Cinderella w/the clock donging midnight... sigh. 2 weeks. That's all there is left 'til the end of school. I can do it! A friend told me a good mantra: "I can do hard things." I have a pic of Haydee, me, Pam & Susanne before the party on Saturday propped up right next to my computer screen, and when I need a reminder to relax, I will look at it & that should do the trick! & then it's what, 3 weeks 'til we hit Ala? Woot! Ok... no more avoidance! I've got my water & my pro shake & my tasks for the day... Make it a good one, Everyone!

Oh Judy, I meant to comment that I that I was guessing that Kris wouldn't be able to do it, to go back to work... I was right where she was, too, and reading your posts about it brought those feelings back to me so strongly... I'm happy for her... & somehow I'm sure you'll still be getting in as much gramma time as you can!! And have I mentioned that I'm getting so excited to meet & cuddle w/Carson? Can't wait!!

Good Morning! I am "out of the closet" now! :party: hardy har har... Haydee & I are getting ready to wing our ways home... we are on the same flight from here to Dallas, then we go our separate ways... on the flight here we talked nonstop the whole 3 hours... well, & then pretty much every hour since, to, come to think of it... no surprise there, right?? Pammie just came in from picking up the prints of our pics... she's sorting them as I type... I have some frame shopping to do when I get home. Be assured that you ALL were in our hearts all weekend. We spoke a lot about what a special, amazing group we are... how our connections have transcended simply weight loss... and how blessed we are to be in this group. x 100! I don't wanna go home!!! waaaaah. Gotta finish packing... "see" you back on East Coast time!

Hello from Cali!! Here I am typing on Pam's laptop from Pam's dining room while watching Pam's tv! This weekend has been a DREAM! Sooooo relaxing and fun and sunny and just perfect! Will regale you w/ all the deets next month -- where, I might add, we expect the $40 that you all LOST in the hangover bet! We all behaved very well and although many margi's have been enjoyed, but no hangovers have been had... go figure! Everyone here has been so kind and warm and welcoming and fun... it's been so great to spend time w/Pam and Susanne, who is FABU and a definite Vi @ heart. The massages & taking of the waters today was the cherry on the whipped cream of the fudge sundae that's been my weekend (sorry for the high-carb imagery, but it's just been that good!)... soooooooooo amazing and relaxing. I vote that next year's Vi gathering is in Palm Springs -- I promise you WON'T regret it! Sorry to go on & on... but please understand that I NEEDED this weekend SOOOOO much... & it worked it's magic... I am rested and restored and rejuvenated... ready to head home tomorrow and sail through the last 2 weeks of school from my happy zen place. Smooches to all & will check in on Tues once I'm back!!
