Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself! I just received word today that I was cleared from psychological standpoint for the surgery and the surgeon's office will be submitting my paperwork and I should hear back within about 7-10 days! I have a feeling they will deny it at first because with my insurance you need a minimum of 6 months of monthly visits with a PCP that shows weight loss and diet modification counseling and I have only completed 3 of those months so far. According to the surgeon's office, if they deny the request they will usually tell you what you need to do before you can apply again. I have an EGD scheduled for next week and a sleep study scheduled for the week after, so I am on the way!
