    Stuck At The Same Wt

I keep track of everything I eat using myfitnesspal.com ( user bustout321). You can add me. I stay at 1200 calories and try to hit the gym min 3 days a week. If you combine these activities, the scale will go down. I also speak with my DR and get fills when he suggest and I do keep an eye on the green zone chart. This lets me know If I need a fill. Also, pounds is not all you should concentrate on. Waist, legs and arms are getting smaller! So stay positive and keep yourself accountable and best luck!
  4. PEOPLE... WTH? The problem was in the second sentence. This is a tool that needs to be used. If you are not getting a fill, you are not taking advantage of this new device. I cannot beleive youR DR told you not to get a fill. IMO he is not giving you sound advice! CRAZY!!
  5. What was your weight starting? I am curious how much you have to lose.
  6. It depends on how far post your are but you should already be on mushy I would think.

    Lap Band Port Area

Hmm. I think the pain might be your stomach not the port. If you havent used those muscles in a while they will be sore. I started working out and I had pain but that was from working on my muscles. I would just take it easy, walk dont run and see you it goes for the week It could be gas too. If you are concerned, talk with your DR. Hope this helps.
  8. Wow that is very inspiring. I was banded Oct 12th and life if getting better every week. I have some work but doing great and cant keep my pants up even after I buy the next size down.. LOL Thanks for sharing!
  9. Wow you did great. I am way behind you but I try to eat protein as much as possible. Some foods I eat : Fish ( cod, talapia, trout, halibut), Chicken, tChicken Chili, Cream Of Wheat, Turkey Meatballs, vege Lasagna and lean corned beef. I also buy Smart Ones or Lean Cusine. They are easy and once you find a few good ones( there are yucky ones) they help! Crackers and Skinny cow cheese rocks! I can eat anything besides bad stuff in moderation. Did that help?

    Soon To Be Lap Banded!

Welcome and we are all excited for you! You will be just fine. Stay in touch and PM or email me if you have any questions before and Post surgery. We all did it so the info we have will help easy the pain... TTYL
  11. That is great you made the choice to have the Band. I was banded Oct 12th this year and down about 36lbs and I just now started to go back to the gym so very excited. I chose this vs the other because you don’t have the nutritional issues and you lose slower so less skin issues. This has been the best decision ever. This is a tool so eating like we did in the past will not fix the problem. The band basically makes you control your portions as we could not do that on our own without. So you see it's a tool not a miracle fix. I have looked at food in such a different light now. I view it as fuel and not the medicine I need to deal with stress or depression. I wish you the best and stay in touch. The surgery is pretty easy minus the recover week. You will have pain from the incisions but that is about it. Take the pain med's, try to move around after surgery and you will be fine. Bring a soft small pillow or blanket to the hospital; you will need it for the ride home under you seatbelt between your tummy!! See ya on the other side!! LOL
  12. 99% of WLS patients have this hernia repair. Just goes with the overweight syndrome. It will be fine!
  13. banded on Oct 12 and I have never felt the band just the PORT!! LOL
  14. I had the same questions and concerns and waiting way too lonh IMO. I was banded Oct this year and have had dramatic changes in my body and mental state. It is so far, one of the best choices I have made for my family and myself. I have been heavy most of my life and it has not been easy. I have not really lived life to the fullest. This surgery is easy, and the least invasive of all. If you want, it can be reversed! None of the other can! So do if for you not the other people who are knocking you down! If you need anything, please PM me!!

Congrats, if you need any support or questions answered just message me. Banded Oct 12th this year and loving it. The food is easy to be around once you figure out it only fuel and you want to feel and look great. Wait until your first pant or shirt size change. Instead of mine going up they go down by 2!! See ya
