  1. LOL Yeah, they are kind of lacking in the communication department! So, where is your picture... so I know what you look like?
  2. Is there only 3 of us in Houston from True Results???? I find that hard to believe.... So, kittyforet and darknlovely... you two gonna be there?
  3. Keep after them!! Don't give up.... Start right now and work on your diet and portion control... it will help you in the long run!!
  4. I was in for a "fill " last week and noticed a Flyer about the Support Group. They meet the last Tuesday of every month, at 6:00pm, in the Lobby of True Results. I emailed someone, and here is her response... looks like a GREAT Topic this month!!!! Dear Mr. Branham, I’m glad that you noticed the flyer for our support group and want to participate. The schedule is being developed and should be ready in the next few weeks. This month (on the last Tuesday of the month) we will have our very popular Protein shake and Protein Bar “tasting”. We are always asked which shakes taste the best. Since everyone has their own preferences we present a variety of the ones we have heard are the tastiest, lowest in carbs and most convenient. I am forwarding your email address to Betrice White who will add it to our list. I look forward to seeing you here in our 8th floor lobby at 6:00 pm on February 28. Sincerely, Ida Diamond FNP
  5. Good Job! Keep it up!! :-)
  6. Yes, they are pretty good. You can call their Customer Service Line and order a Sample Pack kit ($15 or so). Gives you 12 or so single-serve powders of different flavors. I think Syntrax is the Company Name...
  7. LillieB, I know how you feel. I was banded on Oct 21st. But, for the 3 months prior I was working on eating healthy, and watching what I ate. I took it upon myself to work the diet, before even getting the band. I lost 30+ pounds just on diet and pre-op diet alone. Since then I have lost only 13 pounds, and not really sure what is going on. I am drinking 2 protein shakes a day (breakfast & lunch) and trying to eat healthy at dinner. But, I have NO restirction and can eat whatever I want, which is why I am not really losing. It is hard to not snack on un-healthy things, or eat more than you should. It is just plain will-power that you need. You can either do it yourself, or wait till you get a couple of fills, and throw up when you eat the wrong things. I know I don't want to be in that situation, but it is hard! :-)
  8. So, I estimate that I am at about 1,000-1,200 Calories a day. The Shakes are about 300 each... and the dinner meal accounts for about 400-600 calories.
  9. When I started on this jurney pre-op, I had several months to start my diet. I used to never eat breakfast, only a doughnut (or two) if someone brought them to work. LOL So, I got inot the habit of making a protein shake for breakfast, and then during my pre-op diet, I went to having a protein shake for lunch too... which has just stuck since surgery (2 months+). I never go out to eat anymore, and that keeps me from eating fast food during the day. :-)
  10. You will be sore for the first couple of weeks, but now 2 months later I am back to normal. Dont worry about bending...
  11. I am having no issues with hunger using the protein shakes...
  12. It was the worst sleep I have ever had... failed it of course. Then was sent to do a in-hotel sleep study, failed that one too! LOL Don;t worry about it, go through the testing, get a CPAP machine, and get the BEST SLEEP OF YOUR LIFE!! :-)
  13. Ok, I am drinking 2 Protein shakes a day, Breakfast and lunch. At about 60 grams total, should I be worried about adding more protein or not? I keep reading about "upping the protein" to kick-start the weight-loss. Thanks!
  14. I can relate! I was banded Oct 21st, lost 12 pounds the first month, only 1 pound during December! I have the xl band (14cc) and currently have 51cc in the band. I am eating Protein shakes for Breakfast and lunch, and not eating that well at dinner...since I can eat pretty much anything. Guess I need to find the willpower to get back on track, and start exercising !
  15. I have the XL band (14cc), and have had 2 fills... each for 2cc. I am not having any restictions whatsoever, can eat anything. Trying my hardest to stay in control! LOL
