The weaves and extensions probably added to the Hair loss, right now since I dye my hair blonde, with the sun and swimming I'm having breakage myself. If it starts looking bad in another month or so I'll go with a cutie pixie to go with my new cute body

I've been dieting since February anyway, and since the liquid diet my hair is falling out. I have long hair, but I'm going to have several inches cut tomorrow so the ones that do fall out won't be quite as noticeable. It also seems to tangle easier when it's full of loose hairs, so this should help. I've had it fall out before when I lost weight, but it DOES grow back.
as for bald heads, I think they can be quite striking and beautiful on a woman. You DO have a pretty face, I'm sure you're gorgeous now!

My libido is very up and down. Some days it's all I can think about. Other days, I don't even want to be looked at. I feel sorry for my hubby because he is gorgeous and sexy and tries, but sometimes I'm just not there. Ughhh...It's frustrating! Lol. You're not alone.

Peach salsa and black bean chips. I only need to eat 5 and I'm done, instead of eating half the jar.

I feel much the same way about this site being the reason for much of my success. While its still up to us individually to do what we know to do, being able to come here and read about other people at all different stages of their journey is helpful beyond words. Even though I'm nearly at goal, I find it helpful to read others who are still at different stages of their weight loss journey. It helps remind me of the different struggles I have experienced, and it is also sometimes a reality check for me that the struggle isn't over just because I reach goal. I have learned a lot about myself during this journey, particularly how carb sensitive my body is and how sugar triggers such horrible demons for me. I only hope that I stay in touch with the things I have learned over the coming years so that I can sustain this weight loss. It seems silly if not almost stupid to think "why would a person allow that to happen after working that hard....", but the sad fact is that when we get into those self destructive spirals sometimes they can become really difficult to stop.
Here's to healthy living for all of us!

Jolie_KeMi reacted to I_did_it! in Need Advice Im 21 Yrs Old And Im 3 Weeks Post-Op And Im Getting Tired That I Can't Have At Least One Bite Of Foods I Love.
First, I would like to say Karen2012 you are definitely not alone. There are tons of posts on here about the same exact thing. (Search "mourning food") I was sleeved on 6/11 and I can tell you that I went to three parties with tons of food during my pre-op diet and have been to 3 parties post-op. I have cried at almost every single one. Plus I live with 2 adults and 3 children who are allllwayyyysss eating! I am totally frustrated too! You have to remember that it's early, our stomach have to heal and our heads have to catch up! I too was able to have refried Beans, salsa, sauce and sour cream 3 weeks post op...eat up...but I do miss the tortilla chips myself...two and a half weeks and I can have them!!!!! I can't wait! It is getting easier day by day!
@Benjamin - I have a couple of things to say. First, you must remember that everyone has different relationships with food, and for that matter cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, etc. Some people get over addictions easier than others. Next, she is early out...don't you remember what it was like those first few weeks? Speaking as a woman who is 5 weeks out...I am still having a very difficult time "breaking up" with food. Perhaps gender even makes a difference? After all, men are from mars...
Good luck to you Karen2012. I am learning that it does get easier!

This is an awesome question. To be a normal weight I believe I need to hit 132. I was happy at 160 so my personal goal is 150. That would put me squarely in the overweight range and I think I would be fine with that.

Doc wanted me at 200lbs.....I wasn't 200lbs in highschool. I chose the weight I was my senior year in highschool, 215lbs. That was my most active and when I felt the best about myself, body wise. Granted 200lbs isn't much further below.....but I just don't see myself hitting that one.

MsKendraHL you are georgeous! No need to lose 20 more pounds. You are so lucky that you kept your boobs!!! I hope that mine stick around too! I am only 5 feet tall and according the BMI charts my "normal" weight is 116...I have no desire to be that small! I too like my curves and 138 is my goal. I chose it because once upon a time for about one year of my life, when I was 18 I bounced between 135 and 145 and I was very content with my bod. I picked 138because on an episode of biggest loser a gentleman had said "I feel sexy strong and great at 168" and I liked it...so I decided that I would feel sexy strong and great at 138!! Right now though...I am looking forward to onederland! 11 pounds to go!
Good luck to everyone on their journey to goal!

I originally set my goal to be a bmi under 25. I have lost 118 pounds and currently 13 pounds away from this goal and in my 7 month. Goal has been a funny thing. Honestly, I never thought I would get that close prior to surgery. Once I lost about a 100 pounds I felt like even if I stopped losing the process was already worth it. Now, I am pretty sure I will want to surpass my initial goal. I feel so much better at 207, but I am pretty sure 10 more pounds will not be that noticeable. Consequently, once I hit goal I am choosing to continue following my plan until I hit a weight that reflects more where I want to be. I am just not certain where that is at the moment! One step at a time though, next stop is goal

Nope, bmi chart means nothing to me. It is what I feel comfortable at. My primary doc said the bmi charts are a bit extreme.

Kimmy, no amount of advice we can give will ease your pain but hopefully the support you get here will. I would suggest getting out and walking, preferably with someone you can talk to. Walk (or another exercise you enjoy) your stress out. It does help me sometimes. The best of luck to you!!

Today is my 3 month mark, I've lost 50.9 lbs and for the 1st time ever I bought and successfully wore a pair of SIlver brand jeans. My friends and family are sick of my talking about myself but I'm just so flipping happy! Never thought anything like this would happen for me. It's a good day.

I just wanted a clarification when you say you had a vsg in 1999, are you positive you had a sleeve gastrectomy or was it a bypass?. I didnt realize the surgery had been around that long or that you could gain all your weight back plus some from diet pepsi and of course other stuff. Do you still feel any restriction? I am thinking that maybe you had a bypass or something that would explain it. I know with bypass, you can stretch your pouch out to the way it was presurgery. At any rate, I hope you find an answer that will help you to lose the weight again. Just wanted to be sure we were talking apples to apples. Thanks and good luck. The DS is a good surgery too I hear and people have great success with it as a second step. Good luck to you!

I would highly recomend getting an Iolite vaporizer if you plan on using with any regularity.
It eliminates the smoke & that all to distinctive smell. It also will allow you to use much less product
