  1. I went to my surgeon today for my first post op.Ive lost 19 lbs since the 20th,date of my surgery Im excited!

  3. it is so funny how drs.are so different.I regular food up to the day of my surgery.I had surgery on 3/20/2012.for dinner I had soup,which was the lightest thing i ate all day,I was told to make a light dinner and then nothing to eat or drink after midnight
  4. 33%! wow all the info I have read and what my surgeon told me is that sleevers will lose 75% of their excess in the first year I almost had the band done, but after founding out the difference in loss and the time frame,I chose the sleeve
  5. i was told to expect shoulder pain also,but i haven't had any
  6. i went in at 8 am,surgery at 10 am,spent the nite,had swallow test at 8am, was home by 930
  7. i am 9 days out and have not been hungry one iota,i too was told that the surgery removed the Guerlin,that caused hunger.
  8. im 7 days out today,no problem with fluids,still pain with the one incision,cant bend over without alot of pain,so my daughter has to put my socks and shoes on,Which is going to be very difficult when I go back to work on sunday,I go in at 2am. that gurgling sound that some one mentioned,I found out the hard way ended up being explosive diarreha(sic),thats something else I need to talk to the doctor about.still on flriuds until atleast friday( dr.appt)
  9. i drink isopure,I cant do the thick shake-like ones.I really like it
  10. im 7 days postop and mine still hurts most of the time.
  11. Iwasnt scared at all.I trust in my surgeon,the hospital. It was funny cuz everyone at work was asking me "are you nervous" or "are you scared"And I can honestly say I wasnt.I was definitely ready to have this surgery. YOU will do fine.
  12. my doctor told us at a support group to throw away the scales not to use them.because your weight flucuates.aslong as you are following the diet.I wouldnt worry about it by the way I just got sleeved on the 20th of march
  13. thanks everyone for thier input.it helps.I havent had any nausea,i had a patch placed behind my ear that was good for 3 days ,plus i got a shot of something just before surgery.havent had any problems with drinking any thing cold.My protein drinks have to be cold.I am drinkning Isopure
  14. i got sleeved on tues. and today is sat.I had my first bowel movemt,and it was explosive diarrhea,is thatnormal?I can actually feel the liquid as it travels thru my instestines.I am thinking its all the sugar free stuff I was Instructed to eat,popsicles,jello.Wanted some othe ropinions before I call the dr on the weekend. thanks for your input kathy
