  10. The doctor has his own practice where one can get banded and see him regularly for fills, true results pay various doctors who have their own bariatric offices to work for them I guess as a contractor would. Thereafter one is released to true results. Now if there are any problems with the band my understanding is that the doctor would takes care of that. A nurse practitioner performed my fill.
  11. Elmo; At Dr Hollis' office he signs the release form to hand you over to True Results, they just take your demographic info and bp weight plus height. At True Results you present your release form, fill out some paperwork and they also take your vitals then get your fill. The process was harmless and no dietary log required nor was one requested. Amongst the papers you sign at the front desk one of them has a list of foods and you circle the frequency in which you eat those foods. I hope I answered all your questions.
  12. Just came from my first fill at true results, I was an hour late because I had to first go to Dr. Hollis' office. The lady at the front was quick to point out my timing but I let her know that the bay area was a bit of a distance, waited two minutes, was out in 10.
  13. I was banded on September 21st of this year and I have lost 21 pounds so far. I am no longer wearing my size 18s and XXL shirts and can fit comfortably in my 14s and XL shirts. I am scheduled for my first fill on the 25th of this month.
  14. Hello, I was banded the same day as you and share similar experience, stalling since Thursday. What I have learned from reading other posts is that the first few weeks are meant for healing and not for weight loss. The focus is to get healed so that we can start implementing the rules that would enable us to function the tool that is the lapband. Granted the weight loss was rapid at first but that is due to Water weight and just the general shock of the impact of surgery, maybe our bodies are slowly recovering and just re-adjusting. Now that I feel much better, I have started exercising thirty minutes everyday just walking around in my living room. Just stay positive and remember this is a journey, be optimistic and keep in mind that it took a while to pack in the pounds and therefore taking them off will require some time, practice and patience. Lots of hugs & Good luck.
