  1. Be Happy!!!! I also am banded 6 months, and go to the gym 4 days a week, and have only lost 35 lbs. So you are doing GREAT!!!!
  2. If all this weight loss is just about willpower, why did any of us need the Band? I was banded September 21st this year, and haven't had a piece of bread, a morsel of pasta, a potato chip, anything with sugar. I log all my food, and eat between 600 and 1000 calories a day. I could have done all of this without the band!!!! I don't have any of the signals of being full or a need to throw up. The only difference I see from before the surgery and now, is I have a LOT of GAS!!! I have only lost 9 lbs since the surgery, and have only felt Deprived! You'd think with comsuming only this amount of calories, I would have doubled that weight loss. I don't Get it!
  3. Thanks so much for your encouraging words. I'm in there for the long haul. Good Luck to you!
  4. I had my surgery on 9/21. I also had some hernia repair, so I was in bed until Sunday, drinking my fluids like a Good Girl. Monday I weighed myself, and lo and behold, I lost 12 lbs! Needless to say I was thrilled. So, since Monday I've been up and around as usual, feeling great. Today I stepped on the scale, and I GAINED BACK 3lbs. How can this happen on a fluids only diet of about 500 to 600 calories a day? Has anyone else experienced this? I just keep thinking that what happens if this lapband thing doesn't work any better than my eating plans in the past. Help, I need some encouragement. Thanks, Judy
  5. Had my surgery on 9/21, and they also had to do a hiatal hernia repair. Everything seems to be going fine, except that I keep getting short of breath. Has anyone experienced this?
  6. They told me at the Doctor's office that I could buy chicken noodle soup and strain out all the chunks, and eat the broth! Much better!!!!
  7. Two more days, and I'm having a bit of anxiety. I keep wondering how the heck am I going to keep on a liquid diet for two weeks! I've never been able to stick to one for more than two days in the past, why am I going to be able to now? Don't you miss chewing on something?
