About Me

  • Gender
    Female
It took over a year to complete all the requirements for the surgery.  Meeting the health risks was not a problem, I beleive I had every symptom listed as a reason to get the surgery done. ie  diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, thyroid, obesity, etc. etc.
Surgery went fine.  I heeled nicely.  But had a hard time slowing down my eating and chewing smaller after being a waitress and bartender for 20+ years.  (You have to eat really fast if you want to eat at all in this line of work)
Five months down the road now, 50+ lbs lost, I am still having occasional yakking.  I can't even eat a whole cup of food like we're supposed to.  I get this choking feeling in my lower throat area.  I see the Dr. soon, I'll be sure to let him know.  I really think I have something wrong with my throat vs. my lapband.  My primary physician said I may need a scope done.
We shall see.
I hope this chat thing works for me. Or do you call it a blog? I'm not even withit on Facebook yet. Bear with me yall. I need your support.
Luv, Shell aka shellgtlil aka igotsmall
