  1. Our surgery dates are really close. I am scheduled on the 27th. Good luck!
  2. I was just wondering about everyone's lives. Are you married, single, do you have kids? What do you do for work? What do you do for fun? I have been married for 3 years and I have a 14 month old. I'm a receptionist at a mental health center. I love to read and as a family we try to go to a lot of different parks to walk and play. I also really like to cook so finding things that will work with the band should be a fun challange.
  3. Dr Hoehn He has done several of my coworkers as well.
  4. I am from Kansas City as well. I am having mine done at KC Bariatric. It's good to know there is someone else in the area. I went and bought the bariatric fusion shakes from the surgeon's office today so that I can start trying them at breakfast each morning.
  5. My date is October 27th. It seems so far but I know it will be here soon. I'll get to hear all of your experiences first. I have stopped all caffiene and soda as of today. (I'm sure I will be busting out the tylenol soon) Good luck to everyone!
  6. I have blue cross blue shield of kansas city. They only ask for previous attempts at losing weight but for some reason they wanted more proof of mine. I sent in my weight watchers books and that did the trick. I hope yours gets approved as well. Good luck!
  7. Hi! My name is Jenn. I've been lurking for a little while. I just got my surgery date today which was a total surprise because my insurance company originally said I would have to do a six month diet but then changed their minds. So I will get banded on Oct 27th. I have to do a two week liquid diet which I am not looking forward to but I'm wrapping my mind around it. I'm just so ready to get started. The first time I heard obese from a doctor I was 10. I hope to get lots of good tips and buddies from here.
