My surgery was scheduled on Sept.16,2011. I arrived at the hospital at 5 a.m. For admit at 5:30 a.m. I was taken to the lab to have a pregnancy test, bloodwork, And vital signs. Then I was taken to the surgery holding Area where I changed into a gown ,abdomen shaved and IV started to ensure hydration. I was interviewed by several Members of the team to identify myself and type of surgery. Also to discuss alleries which were known and explain what to expect. Once the doctor arrived meds were given to start the sedation by The time I made it to OR the ask me to slide over the the table and I Was out. They talked to me and me comfortable so I didn't have Time to get nervous. I woke up on recovery with the bright smile of the Nurse saying it's over and you did great. I was taken to my room where I Was checked frequently by staff. They also monitored my Vitals drawed blood checked my fasting bg and gave me heparin injections Stomach is best place for this injection didn't feel a thing. The next morning I was taken to upper gi to ensure placement then started on little ounce Cups of water. They want you to drink drink drink. I was discharged home Sat. evening around 4 pm with a liquid pain med.
