  1. Just did it 3 days a week. There were times I thought I for sure would have to repeat weeks, but I never did. Don't be afraid to repeat if you need to though, whatever you need to do to finish it. You will feel so accomplished!
  2. Yep, I started it about 2 weeks post op as well. It's an amazing program. I finished it, and am now training for a half marathon. Ran 4 miles last week and could have kept going. Love couch to 5 K!
  3. Thanks for the feedback! Apparently my doc has a 2 week minimum between fills, so I'm getting filled on Thursday. Very thankful for this because I am struggling!
  4. I put off getting my first fill for a long time because I was doing well and didn't think I needed it. Well I finally broke down and got it. In the 2.5 weeks it took me to get in after I made the appt I fell off the wagon and gained a few pounds. I finally got it last Thursday, and I already know one will not be enough. How long do you guys wait bewteen fills??
  5. We're practically neighbors...I'm in Lincoln. Hope all is going well for you so far.
  6. I'm on Week 6...gotta run 25 minutes tomorrow! It's tough but doable.
  7. It takes a couple days...I took one capful, or whatever the directions said. It's not something that you take once and it works right away, you need to take it for awhile. Once I realized I was getting little to no fiber on my post op diet I decided to keep taking it until I could increase my fiber intake.
  8. The PA recommended Miralax for me, and its worked well.
  9. I had a date exactly 2 weeks post op. Obviously dinner was out of the question so we went out for drinks. Didn't want to look weird drinking water, so I had a couple margaritas. They were wonderful, I didn't die, stayed under my calories for the day, still lost weight. I wouldn't sweat it!!
  10. Good luck, hope you get the green light and all goes well!
  11. Waiting is the worst! I'm in Lincoln...where are you at?
  12. I really didn't do anything, the insurance coordinator at the surgeons office called my insurance company. Those people have a lot more pull than I do!
  13. Thanks for all the support! Got it all worked out and had my surgery on the 17th!!
  14. Awesome job! You look fantastic and happy
  15. Thanks for the responses! Pureed Big Mac sounds putrid, I must say! We'll see how it goes!!
  16. Am I the only one who wants to keep the girls?? I wouldn't mind being a 38DDD instead of a 42, but I still wanna be a DDD!!
  17. Counting down the days til I can start pureed food (8), but not sure why because I'm such a picky eater that the thought of puree anything makes me sick. I knew this would be the hardest stage for me. Wondering if it is even possible to puree ground beef and if so, it it at all good??
  18. I'm sorry, I stopped reading your post at "homemade egg roll." I would probably sell my soul if I could eat one right now! 1 week post op and needing to eat food!!
  19. I was banded on the 17th as well! Good luck to us all!
  20. I just made pizza for my kids and wanted to cry because I wanted to eat so bad!! I actually licked the sauce off my fingers...shameful I know! Im one week out as well, and I know how you feel! But we can do this, right?? Right???
  21. Recovery hasn't been too bad. I've been lucky and haven't had much pain or gas issues like some do. I tried chewing better as practice also, but you don't get to chew anything for quite a while after surgery!! The hardest part for me is the diet. I'm not very hungry, but I still want to eat real food! I'm down 7 lbs since surgery though, so I'll keep at it! You'll do great!
