Post op day 2 and feeling the exact same way! Was worried, but now I feel better knowing we're all in the same boat!

So I started on my Lap band journey back in March. My insurance required a 6 month nutrition program through my work called Intervent. My 6 months was up September 7th. Well my work ended the Intervent program August 31st, one week shy of my 6 months. So my insurance company changed it to a 6 month nutrition counseling program through them. I didn't really think this would be an issue since I had already finished my 6 months. Well apparently it is an issue because I just got a denial letter. They're telling me I have to do their 6 month program to be eligible. I am just sick over this- thinking I would be having surgery in 3 weeks and finding out it may be six months. So sad. Hoping for an appeal I guess. Just had to vent.

Hey all, my name is Dana and I have been lurking here for several months. I am 28, divorced, with 2 little boys, and I work as a registered nurse. I started my 6 month required nutrition program back in March, and now am awaiting official insurance approval for my lap band. My surgery date is tentatively October 17th, one moth from today!!
