  1. I cant eat as soon as I get up because my morning meds have to be taken on an empty stomach. I eat an hour after and that seems to work for me.
  2. Really, really , really proud of you! You are rocking your band!
  3. Are you getting any vegetables in? You need a balanced diet.
  4. Congrats on an awesome NSV!
  5. The only thing I was told to stay away from was ibuprofen eg. advil etc.
  6. I had a hernia repair the same time as my lapband and it healed pretty quickly. I had very little pain after surgery
  7. I can see someone doing it for religious reasons but as a diet - why would you? The reason for the band is so we can get off the diet merry go round. Make sure you talk to your dr. so he can keep an eye on you if you decide to do it.
  8. I do a lot of free weights and core exercises with my trainer. I also try to do 1 class a week whether it be yoga, trx, strength etc. and then on Sundays I spend most of my time on the treadmill and elliptical. I am trying to get up the courage to do the spin class.
  9. 63 kg is a huge amount of weight to lose! I believe you will do it next year!
  10. I wondered the same thing. I am 61 and am also too tired to go through it again. So this time IT IS GOING TO WORK because we have the tool to make it happen
  11. I know exactly how you feel! I went back yesterday and had an amazing session with my personal trainer. So good to be back at it!
  12. Congratulations on meeting your goal!
  13. I have the Allergen band and yes, I have been on the website. Found it very informative.
  14. Welcome ! Having the lap band was the best decision I have ever made! Do lots of research and be prepared with lots of questions when you go to see your surgeon. It took me a whole year to decide to do it!
  15. I went back today - 6 weeks after my surgery. I work with a personal trainer and my dr. wanted me to wait 6 weeks before doing any core exercises. I was soooooo happy to get back to the gym. Cant believe how much I missed working out!
  16. I am 6 weeks post op and waiting to get my first fill. I can relate to being hungry! Perhaps call you dr. and see if it is time for a fill.
  17. Congrats on an awesome nsv!
  18. You look amazing! Congratulations on your weight loss!
  19. Totally agree! Way to go girlfriend!!!
  20. Amazing progress! I hope I can do as well as you!
  21. I also had a hernia repair and now have no heartburn! Love my band!
  22. I use gummie multiples, vitamin d and b complex vitamins. I found them easier to get down than the regular chewable vitamins
  23. It is hard when family is not co operating. Just remember, you did this for yourself and no one else - not even your wife. Stick to the plan your dr. gave you and you will have the last laugh in the end because you will be healthy and fit despite their attitudes
