  1. It varies by person, but chugging can insert a lot of gas. Take bigger sips more often!
  2. Where else but Mickey D's?????
  3. I agree with CG! You need to stop thinking about cheating and focus on compliance and life style change. You truly can do yourself harm if you cheat on the post op diet. Buck up! IF we could do it you can too!
  4. Welcome to rest of your new life! Congrats on the surgery!
  5. Best wishes! You will do great. Keep us posted!
  6. Bring a positive attitude and a support person. The rest can be taken care of once you are there. You might want to bring some clear liquids if you want things other than plain water... I used Crystal light sticks in the water for variety!
  7. Bandway to a New Life!
  8. Good luck, I hope all goes well!
  9. You can do it! Congrats on your progress so far!
  10. My lapband saved me from knee replacement. My doc recommended stationary bike to take the weight off my knees. Perhaps that could work for you. But even if it is just walking inside for now, do it. We believe in you!
  11. I don't think what other people say or think should have anything to do with a decision to make your life better. Be selfish... this one is for you!
  12. I take my pills whole, but one at a time on the large ones. Check with your doctor, nurse, or dietician and get their advice too. It is what you paid them for!
  13. More applause! Way to go!
  14. A agree, call the doctor! Do it now!
  15. Stop thinking and do what is right for you! There are a lot more reasons than style to get yourself to a healthy weight.
  16. Tell your son you will not die. My 39 year old daughter reacted the same way a year ago, and I am still here and healthier! Good luck on your surgery and come back often and let us know your concerns and progress! Cheers!
  17. AMEN to all of you. Keep posting your answers, if the people asking don't get it, they never will. Unfortunately they go over to other forums and bad mouth the band because of their failures. Note that everyone who has responded to this post has been helpful direct and positive about their band experiences, even the "bad" ones. I think there is a message there!
  18. Buy chewables until you feel confident with swallowing larger pills. My B-Complex is a capsule, not huge and has worked fine for me. I get them from VitaCost. I also take Biotin, zinc and phosphate.
  19. Keep the smaller meals, maybe add in another one. I am sure the cycle did not help.
  20. Hang in there, I am happy you were able to get another date so soon!
  21. Welcome back Steve!
  22. Congratulations! Keep up the good work, and do stick around and share your insights with the rest of us. We can always learn new things!
  23. Immediately after a fill be very strict with your sipping small amounts and chewing all food very well. If you can get food down without sliming, I would say you are still swollen from the fill. Slow down and give it time. Don't push food. If you need to call the Doc about an unfill.
  24. Hang in there, it will get better! I promise!
  25. Cottage cheese and fruit, depending non you stage you could add a a tablespoon of granola.
