I agree, watch the salt and start walking! Pay close attention to the mushies. Some things that go down well are are all that good for you. Try logging your food.

Day 4 Post Op And Just Have No Energy
CHEZNOEL replied to acoleman380's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It was called surgery for a reason. Give yourself a break. Make sure you are sipping all the time and get in your fluids. Take the work day slow and easy and give yourself permission to rest when you get home. Your body is still recovering. It WILL GET BETTER! -
My band and plication was October 2011.

Dont Want To Lose Those!!!!!
CHEZNOEL replied to Jlynn217's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I could donate as well. I have gone down in band size from 40 to 34, but still DD. Granted a portion of that is the left over skin! LOL! You will do fine as the rest of your body catches up, it will look proportioned. -
Fabulous progress! You go girl!

Use you pain medication. n It takes time to heal! -
Lap Band surgery is not as bad as many other surgeries I have experienced. We all had our doubts and second thoughts, but I don't know anyone with a band who would trade it for anything!

Be Honest- Is Banded Life Hard?
CHEZNOEL replied to ireallywannabthin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
i believe it is hard work to lose weight, regardless of the method. I think the lap band has been a great help to me and enabled me to finally achieve my goals. -

I was told that the plication will indeed give better results and I have it myself. My doctor said that sometimes the stitches will erode and the stomach will return to its normal shape. You may never know it happened. The thought is that by that time, if it ever comes, you will have changed you lifestyle and eating habits. I know that I have. Remember all the things are just tools. You make the final decision on what and how much you eat!

Night Time Restriction
CHEZNOEL replied to lauradevans's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You could be too tight? It takes a while after surgery for all the swelling to go down. Everyone is different. Talk to your doctor. -
Find a substitute. Protein shakes, SF pudding, sf hot chocolate all go down real nice. You can gain weight with a band if you are not willing to make life style changes. It sounds harsh I know, but really?? You did not have surgery because you like your current weight/health level. Suck it up! There are a lot of people here who have been successful. A few have not, but most of these are finding away around the band.
