Flouro to check for a leak, no leak, no restriction...
CHEZNOEL replied to sherrypep's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I don't think the fill and unfills affect the band. It does not stretch to my knowledge at least? Anyone else? What did the doctor say? -
Bump up the protein content?

Every doc is different! I wish it were not so, but it is. Know that if you run into problems you can alwlays back off. Take small bites. Follow Doctors' orders. Bee Well -

Not too unusual. Drink slow and this stage will pass! Bee Well! -
PEACE OUT ALL! I know the holidays are stressful, but don't complain about people who take time to post. Take what you want and leave the rest. It is not personal unless you make it personal! Bee Healthy

No eating and drinking....
CHEZNOEL replied to hisladyvi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
CG is right, every doc is different. I just would not drink a whole lot right before eating cause I want to get real food in without getting the FULL feeling. FULL means too full to my body! Bee Healthy! -
Personal is personal. Do what you believe in!

Good luck to you all... but watch out... surgery does not end the food dreams! -
Good luck with surgery. Sounds like you are ready. Come back and let us know how you are doing!

Is continuing on liquid protein for a few meals still okay during early pregnancy
CHEZNOEL replied to sassycass830's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Check with both the OBGYN and nutritionist. I would think you might need more solid foods. Don't go crazy eating, but make sure the baby is healthy. You will def. gain from the baby, so don't expect large continues weight loss. -
Wonderful! I agree.... play the lotto numbers too!

Day 1 post op question
CHEZNOEL replied to finallytime's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try 2-3 ounces of liquid every 15 minutes and sip slowly. This will add up to enough liquid for the day during waking hours. When you add in liquid protein, try drinking 2-3 oz of that at the top of each hour to help you keep track. This is the schedule I used for 3 weeks on liquid diet post-op. Get in the required amount of protein and fluids. Bee Well! -
I too could sleep on my tummy from the beginning. Although as mis73 says... it is somewhat awkward at first to get there! I wish you luck. Worst case if the recliner works use it, or start in bed and if you roll and wake yourself, move to the recliner. Best wishes. Fortunately this stage does not last too long for most people. I hope yours passes quickly!

-35lbs and first HIGH cholesterol ever!?!?!?
CHEZNOEL replied to OldMomOf3's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sometimes the weight loss messes with hormones. I would definitely talk to doctor, but one test does not a problem make. Give the blood levels time to settle down. They checked mine 6 mos post-op and they were fine. -
Go slow... sliming is no fun. You may want to stick to liquids for a day. Good luck! Bee Well

I took pain pills for the first two days. I think Tylenol is a bit light. Everyone has different pain thresholds, but really? You need to be prepared. Bee Pain Free!

Sounds early for mushies, but I would follow doctor's orders. Keep bites very small, and small sips. I did the three week liquids after surgery so no help there. The first mushy food I tried was scrambled eggs and cottage cheese, but chew even these!
