  10. OMG!!! I have a new problem. I have become a shoe-slure. I bought 7 pairs in one night. Now in my defense, (that is how I justify it in my head) they were all on sale. I did not spend too much. But turn around and 2 weeks later I bought 3 more. LOL I told my husband, "Look I know I have a problem, you don't need to stage an intervention with meetings and cameras to make me admit that I have a problem. I know this already and that is the first step to getting better......right?" And besides seeing how fab I look in new shoes motivates me to keep going towards my goal. (At least that's how I rationalize it in my head.)
  11. That is how I know my TOM is coming. I start to have super cravings, for sugar and carbs. I feel like I can inhale the entire fridge. LOL. It does go back to normal once it has passed. But yea I can eat more. Very weird.

    Anyone Complete P90X After Surgery?

Me and DH started the P90X series. We did not finish, like the above poster said, it is very time consuming & serious. You have to be ready b/c the guy goes hard. It does work though. I notice a difference after 2weeks.
  13. Yes. Lol Still adjusting to 2012. I did correct.
  14. Ok so for me: Sleeved Dec' 2010. Lost 127lbs since sleeve date.

A Nsv That's Blowing My Mind!

Isn't that amazing. I think about it all the time, I have lost both my kids in weight, plus someone else's child. Or I have lost a regular size adult. I find it mind boggling that I carried 2 people around on my body. My joints, back, heart, muscles all must be ever so grateful to be free of such a huge weight.

    Exhaustion Before Surgery Normal?

Hmmm? I honestly don't know. Maybe call the doctor or nurse and explain what is going on and see what they have to say. For me right before surgery I had to eat properly and exercise, I was not my happy self. I was cranky and tired. But hey that's me. Call the Doctor.
  17. The funny thing is I was heading into Wal-mart yesterday and there was a youth church group out front selling baked goodies. It was not even girl scout cookie time yet, here where I live. My favs are the samoas. Last year I avoided them like the plague. This year hoping to steer clear again. Seeing as I am just getting back on track from the holidays.

    Why didn't you just listen

Ok, I am sorry. I feel like screaming at this lady. After she learned that I had wls, she told me a couple months ago her daughter was going to have lapband surgery. I told her to encourage her daughter to research all wls as she might find a different option. I was not pushing either type, just know your facts and stats. Well she blew that off and I was like well I was just trying to help. Fast forward and girl has had the band for like 2 to 3 months now. And she thinks it is not working. I know this because going down the hall the lady tells me that the daughter had the surgery and she wanted to know how fast should the daughter be losing. I responded that I did not have the band surgery. (now get this) She shakes her head, "Well they are all wls, right?" I wanted to yell and scream, "Uh no no no lady they are not. I was trying to save you and your daughter from the possiblity of this grief a few months ago. But you would not listen or tell her." But of course I did not say any of that. She went on to tell me that she thinks her daughter just needs to exercise more. I simply stated that maybe that will help, but I really don't know the in's and out's of the band surgery. I want to help. She has already had the surgery now. Who knows she may do fantastic. I don't know. I just wish she would have had all the information before surgery. But then again she is a grown woman and she is responsible for her own choices and making her own decisions. I can't really be upset with her mom. I guess I just feel a certain way about how her mom handled me telling her to do more research. It's like you can see the tragedy up ahead and you try to warn people but to no avail.
  19. HaHaHaHa! when I read this I picture the person who told me I would never be a size 6. And that's why I am laughing. I am a size 6. I am very comfortable in my skin. I am loving my body, life, and myself on a whole other level.

    Nsv #4510

A NSV is a Non-Scale Victory. And there will be plenty for all of us.
  21. I can't help with the empty signal, because I eat on a time schedule. But when I am full I burp. I was never a burper before surgery, so this is kinda gross to me but I know once I burp that is it, not another bite. I thought the burping would go away eventually, but alas it looks to be here to stay as I am over a year out and we are still together. My husband even comments when we are eating together, and I burp. "Yup, she's full." Then he procedes to take my remaining food, lol. I told him it is a good thing he doesn't gain weight. I happy to see you are doing well and adjusting. Keep rocking it Lady!!!
  22. I personally I did not tell my family until after surgery and I was past recovery. Of course my immediate family knew (those who lived in my house) but any family outside of that did not know until months later. I did not want to deal with them asking questions, voicing concerns, or them worrying.
  23. I feel great. The holidays are over and I am still happy with ME!!! Without my sleeve I would have torn the tables down and my weight would have gone up. #NeverAgain
