  1. What sort of foods did you have immediately postsurgery?
  2. Thanks so much. How has it been since having surgery?
  3. Am working on my journey to VSG. I haven't received actual approval yet but do not foresee any problems with that. If no problems arise then surgery should take place on November 9th, 2011. I live in New Philadelphia, Ohio, amd 51 years old and I work in the medical professional. I hope someone on here will be able to mentor me through this because I know I am gunna need it. Thanks so much.
  4. I asked if there would be a certain regime to follow concerning food/fluid. I knew that I wouldn't be able to drink with the meal but I wasn't sure about other times. The dietician is actually going to give me a schedule to follow for the first little bit, and will fill in, with my help, what I will drink and eat so that I do not have to question it. I have already started drinking the whey Protein shake mix....has 26 grams of protein in each shake and all the flavors I have tried are awesome. I am afraid of losing my hair because I have very thin sparse hair anyway so I wanted to get a jump start on it. Hope this helps.
  5. Okay, you have me at "size of a straw". Do I understand that after surgery my stomach, the whole way down will be the size of a straw? Okay, so how in the heck will 3-7 ounces ever fit into that? WOW....I did not know that about the bougie stuff. I knew he had mentioned the word but it didn't cause me to pause and ask. Thanks.
  6. I am not telling my work place anything. I have worked and re-worked my schedule and traded and changed vacation times. I will not tell them. However, the downsize to that is that I will work up until the day before surgery and I will only have 16 days off. Not long BUT originally I would have had 6 days, work two then off a week. So, it can be done. Don't tell them. None of their business if it is a gossip mill anyway. Well, that is my opinion anyway. I'm new to the site also, but your post caught my eye. Good luck.
