I think everyone has made the decision for whom they wanted to go see by one factor or multiple factors. Some go by price others by experience and others by the doctors personal complication rate. Price was my first factor in not having my sleeve surgery in Canada (cost upwards of 20,000 out of pocket Nooo thank you). After I narrowed my search down to Mexico I did my research on all of the doctors I hear good things about and for ME I went with the one whom had no leaks and many people raved about him.
Ultimately you should make your decision on what you believe is best for you. I can say Dr Aceves is worth every penny you spend but it is still your decision on whom you want to perform the surgery. There are many talented surgeons out there as you can see by all the testimonies posted on the different sites. You will make the best decision for you.

hahaha MlkPas I can totally relate to that one and can not wait (weight) to actually be the size I said I was on my drivers license. And then beat it as I have 2 years before I have to get a new license.

Dwayne I am also from Edmonton and got the sleeve done by Dr. Aceves back in February. It took me two years of debating with myself before I finally went through with it. I even made one last attempt at losing the weight by better food choices and exercising. It worked for awhile but then the pounds came back on with a bit more. That was when I made the decision to go through with it.
At first I was shocked at how little the amount of food I needed/wanted and the weight loss that I was achieving. I am almost 7 months out now and can eat more than when first sleeved. Depending on the density of the food I can eat a normal portion of less dense food (fish) but a small portion of more dense food (steak and chicken). There are slider foods for me (mashed potatoes) that I try to avoid right now as I could eat more than I should at this point in my weightloss.
Basically you need to sit down and decide if this is what you truly want/need. Once it is done there is no going back. I would do everything the same if I had another chance at this (maybe I would have gotten the sleeve sooner rather than later). I am living my life now and thank the lord that I was able to come to the right decision for me.

Well I have had 2 of the 3 suggested and I never even had the idea of death cross my mind for either. Kind of puts me at ease for the surgery. Thanks Julia

I never had a hot tingly feeling. You might want to contact your doctor and let them know. He/She will be a better judge of the symptoms.
