From when i can remember i have always been fat. i remember when i was in primary school i was always bigger then all the other kids. but it wasnt when i went to high school (aged 18) i relized how big i was. i use to get picked on everyday there wasnt a time where i didnt. i never had any friends in school, i remember when i guy came up to me one day and said ' do you know why you dont have any friends?' 'its because no one whats to be friends with someone as fat as you" As time passed i was getting bigger and bigger each week, i was always hungry, thats when my mum came to me and told me to sit down. she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said "Rhee you are getting to big and im so worried for you" i dont want you to end up with a heart attack or die young, we need to do something right now! we started off trying to diet but nothing would work. i did excersize, went to gym everything! but nothing seemed to work.
 
at this stage i was starting to get sharp pains go through my chest, and would also stop breathing in my sleep.  so mum came across a site.. Lap Band she didnt know to much about it and was worried about me getting it done, so she came to me one night and said for your 18th birthday presant i want to know if you want to get lap Band surgery? i wasnt to keen about it and also abit scared. then she looked at me and said but before you go and get it done if you say yes i want to get it done first to see if this will help you, my mum was also over weight at the time, so she went and got it done and she loves it! then i said i did because i had a feeling this could change my life, so i went for it! i remember waking up in hospital and my mum was by my side the whole time i looked at her and said thank you mum she said what for? i looked at her and said for saving my Life... my mum is my hero if it wasnt for her i dont think i would be here.
