I just turned in the last if my documents from my PCP today and the surgeon's office said they will submit for insurance approval today. They said it may take up to 2 weeks for approval from BCN but I hope that's not true. I'm on pins and needles and can barely concentrate at work I'm so excited. Hopefully I can get a surgery date sometime early March so I can lose some weight before the summer. I'd like to wear a smaller size by then so that I can fit into some old summer clothes that I can't squeeze a leg in now. I'm excited for everyone awaiting approval and hopefully we'll hear something soon. Keep us posted.

I knew that I needed to have the Lap Band after I started my new job. I looked down at the photo of me that was on my ID badge and said to myself "Hell to the naw!" I looked 10 years older than I should. I cried and then immediately looked up the lap band procedure on my cell phone. I haven't looked back and have my first appointment with my surgeon this Friday. Can't wait!

I'm in Oakland County and meeting with my surgeon at St. John's in January. I have to do a pre-op 6 month diet and hopefully will be banded sometime in July. Can't wait!
