  1. That sounds sooo good, cant wait to try it. Thanks for the recipe. I made some lomi lomi salmon a week ago for my dad...it was delish!
  2. Woo hoo! You are doing great! I would do it all over again too!
  3. I am not on any form of birth control and I was like clockwork before, now, since surgery , it comes for a day, goes away and comes back a few days later, very light like before but split up...weird.
  4. Welcome Erin! I am so excited that you decided to do this for yourself. I am feeling great, have since the surgery, no issues whatsoever. Just have a open mind and strong will and you can make it. This forum is wonderful, it helped me tremendously when I was researching the surgery, right after and even now, I find something out new every time I log in. Keep us posted on your journey and again...welcome to the sleever group!
  5. I had to do the injectables as well. Are you planning far away trips? Maybe that is why they are concerned, getting too far away from the dr's office. I went home the next day at noon, just over 24 hours after surgery. Best of luck to you.
  6. That is soooo awesome, I am doing the happy dance for you! Keep up the fabulous work and keep us posted on that size 6 girl!
  7. How about a treadmill or elliptical? I use them regularly and there is no side to side. Also , I have a weight training circuit I do along with my cardio, give it a try.
  8. I order whatever I choose, get a to-go box right away and eat what I can. I have no problem telling people about my surgery. The wait staff seems to understand more when I hardly eat anything they bring out. I have been to pizza, mexican, chinese, sushi, burgers etc and still lose weight, seems to work for me.
  9. I say lower speed, more incline. Seems to be a better workout!
  10. Sending good vibes your way for a simple outcome! Hope ypu feel better soon.
  11. I was told to keep it around 60 g a day. I went in for my 2 month appt and I had a few days where I was hitting 100g a day and the nutritionist said to keep it lower...so I am.
  12. Yes, it is nutritional but as chitowngirl says, Nioxin is a good product, it will at least make your hair feel better.
  13. Don't be discouraged, that is almost 2 lbs a week, probably way better that you would have done right? I think the slower we lose, the less flabby skin so dont fret, it will all fall into place
  14. Thanks for the info Libbe!
  15. Yaay to you yecats, I am right there with you, I will be 12 weeks out on May 9th and I am down 40 since surgery, 55 with my pre-op! I too am halfway to my "goal" but as you, I am seeing how I am at my goal, maybe another 10 after that...we will see! Woo- hoo to us! I am loving my sleeve too, I just wish could have done it sooner!
  16. Great idea Kayte, I sent you a friend request as well.
  17. Wow, you look amazing , congrats on your hard work!
  18. I totally see where you are coming from but...get rid of them! You had this surgery to help you lose weight...and it is working , you wont need them anymore! How about taking them to a weight loss support group in your area? We can bring and take clothes at ours...it is great! You trade down sizes and bring them back when they no longer fit...for the next person.
  19. Thanks for sharing your story, I am sure it will help many others. I am glad you are doing well, it good to hear that. Keep up the good work!
  20. Thanks so much, I appreciate your posts. I have never peeled an apple so I didnt even think of that. I will try it next time.
  21. Trust me, you will feel like a million bucks in no time...espcecially when you start dropping the weight and fitting into those smaller sizes! I was amazed how good I felt at 2 weeks out...so was my Doc at the two week visit. I think if you set your mind to it...you can make any situation good!
  22. Oh yes, I cook all the time. I make dinner for my husband and kids all the time.Sometimes I eat what I cook for them , sometimes I dont, depends on what they ask for! I even make desserts, cookies etc. I try to go sugar free or at least low fat on the desserts tho!
  23. Hi, I was just wondering from those of you that are eating salads, how much can you eat? I make a salad with a cup of lettuce, 4 oz of fake crab, 1/4 of a tomato, 1/4 of a bell pepper with some free thousand island ( just an example) and I can eat most of it...it takes about a hour, sometimes a hour an 15-20. Just wondering?
  24. At two months out I went from a size 20 to a 14...loving it! I am having a hard time justifying purchasing clothes tho since I am not fitting in them too long. Goodwill has been my friend for sure!
