Lol likewise she should be able to tell her feelings and not have everyone jump all over her..... yes we all deal with things in our lives and heck yes some of us can deal with more them other....but just as some feel like they need there hands held throughout there journey others such as myself need to pull strength from within to get through it to each there own. I have no regrets in my life everything happened exactly as god planned I have raised three adult sons, been with my hubby over 21 years, all while being overweight...life is what u make it....make excuses and u will continue watching life pass u by or just set your mind and don't look back..no one will be there to keep u from eating too much, or eating slider foods but u so get your mind straight and just do it!!!!

my only suggestion is suck it up you chose to have the surgery no one is forcing u, with that said read up on it good and bad. It is not fun there will be pain but in the end its a journey worth going thru I have no problem giving advice but there will be those out there whinning just to get the attention but that's in everyday life too. If you have question ask them, need advice ask, but don t let few days of pain second guess a good thing.... Good luck you will make it thru it keep your mind on the prize

me personally I will get on here and tell everyone about a slip of my lapband but I do not play poor me .....life is horrible bull crap. When you see the same people whine day in and day out its annoying... The lapband does not change or help a case of a bad personality. I did not get my lapband to sit behind a computer for the rest of my life and find the negative in everything I got it to live a better life....since getting lapband I have done 10 5ks, I got a motorcycle license and ride, no me sitting on couch stuffing my face. I would love to see more posts about the positive things that people are accomplishing...people go live!!!!

I agree completely lifes tough shit happens stop whining!! It does nothing but help you feel sorry for yourself nothing more nothing less...pull the big girl panties up..be grateful for the help the lapband gives you and if I have offended any one suck it up butter cup cause I was told the same thing when I whined and I am grateful for those people who were straight forward with me. If you want progress work for it nothing comes with out hardwork...

    Size 12 and 14 please!

thrift stores are the way to go when it comes to clothes cause you are going to continue to lose so no point in spending too much for something you plan on only wearing a few months
  17. due to a slip I was unfilled but they are filling me again on wed does anyone know how much they normally start you back on in cc I am a self pay and really want to start back at a 5cc

One would think they'd fill under fluoro this time around just to make sure the fill is right and the band is where it should be? Placement of the band might dictate a different fill level?

When my band was totally unfilled for a different reason, not as serious as a slip, my surgeon was much more conservative with the rate of refilling the band. I guess factors include the size of your band, and how much it was filled prior to the slip. I tend to be conservative with fills. Everyone is different. Ask your surgeon what they feel is appropriate for your unique situation. Best wishes!

I have a 14 cc bag and I had it filled to 9.5 which honestly was to much I would like to start at 6 but I really doubt they will do that

  18. ok I am making progress and want to reward myself for making little goals like a ten pound weight loss I am getting a pedicure. But beyond that I can t think of anything and it can not be food related any ideas?????

plication is where they fold half your stomach over and stitch it. it's like a sleeve without any cutting of the stomach. it's still in the experimental stage but a lot of lapbanders have it done with their bands.

      thanks I see

To add to what terry said, they don't actually fold the stomach over. They fold the greater curvature inward on itself, and put two rows of non-disolving stitches.....making the capacity of shape in and around the size of the sleeve. Then they place the band. At times I've tried to eat right through band signals, the plication gives me a huge kick in the butt.

  20. here is my lapband adventure. First and foremost everyones adventure will not be the same. I got band a few years ago and it was empty and I had only gotten one fill. Did not make much progress at all. Now everything I have read told me I needed to keep up on my fills...that was my fault. Now this year I got back on track got two fills and have lost 20 lbs. in two months! The lapband is a tool and the process is slow and steady if you follow the rules. Yes you will have stuck episodes if you eat too fast or too much I have learned this. Also big news...I learned scales suck....don t be a prisoner to your scale. Exercise is helping a lot...but not everyone has to exercise to lose...the ones that don t have to I am a bit jealous of But don t think this is a quick fix or your going to drop 50 lbs in a month or two... cause u will set yourself up to fail and then lose hope like I did. Get a year calendar one of those wall ones and track your progress on it no matter how slow it is. that way you will see progress in your journey. Good Luck and don t be your worst enemy be your own Cheerleader!! P.S. yes there are spelling mistakes and grammatical errors!! Get over it!
