My 90days are up on 11/16 and thats when insurance paperwork will be sent in, my problem is i want to get banded on 11/21, so that means i would have to start my 2week pre-op on 11/7, but if my approval doesnt come in 2 days then my pre-op diet will be for nothing bc i cant get surgery on 11/21, I picked that day bc im off the holdiay week

Today was a great learning experience. I had my first consultation with the surgeon. I have to do a 90 supervised diet program prior for insurance requirement. I think I can lose 100lbs but Dr said most patients lose 40-45% of their excess weight

Hi, how is it going? When is your surgery date? I'm stilll waiting to hear back from insurance co, I called and was told that they rcvd my info on 11/21 not 11/17 as i thought. I was told 3 business days for response and the holiday held things up, so I'm hoping to get the news tomm

Good Luck with your surgery..I see u lost weight during the pre-op..did u dr submit your starting weight of 285 for your approval..My dr told me he uses the initial weigh in for insurance but i was still a little apprehensive about losing any weight

Hi, Im so excited, i hv my first surgical consultation on Oct 11..I keep calling to see if there are any cancellations, so i can get that date bumped up. I meet with my primary physician tomm, to get my referall. I hope she doesnt tell me I dont really need lap band and dont provide me with my referral. I hv a BMI of 41.I havent told anyone that Im actually pursuing this, i hinted back months ago with my 2 Bff's, one was suppotive and the other said I can do it on my own, but I really cant, I lost weight before, but i gained it all back plus 20..

Keep up the good work, you will get there. What is your workout regimen? I'm in the beginning stages, I hv my first consultation on 10/11

I have Aetna Health Maintenance Organization..Im currently 270 with a BMI of 41....I know i qualify with a BMI >40..I'm hearing that Aetna requires a 2 year weight history. Will they deny bc I havent been 270 for the last 2 years. My weight fluctated from 225 to 270

I went to my first support group today, it was awesome and I met a great group of women. Some were trying to convince me the sleeve was a better alternative, I pass on that, i dont wont to hv 85% of my stomach cut off

I just packed away all my summer clothes, hopefully i wont be unpacking these containers next summer
