  1. Well , today is finally here. I did the 2 days of clear liquids. That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My family and I went to Holiday World Wednesday. A little sunburned, but it made the day go fast. I have to be at the hospital at 9:30, surgery is at 11:30. I keep having second thought, but I know this is what I want to do. I just don't want any complications. I'm fairly healthy, but obese. I don't want anything bad to happen. I know everyone feels that way and it is encouraging to read your stories. Say a prayer that the doctor performs great and I recover well.
  2. Tomorrow will be over before you know it and you'll be fine. My prayers are with you and your family. Put your trust and faith in the Lord and He will see you through. I'm a nurse and have worked in surgery and recovery. The doctors are professionals and very good at what they do. Your body will slowly make it back to normal, expect to be very tired, some pain, and a little fuzzy. The fuzzy in the head feeling will pass in about three to four hours. When you doze off several times and then finally wake up. Once you are in your room and awake they will want you to sit on the side of the bed and then walk a little. If you are in pain, tell your nurse. They should be able to help you stay comfortable. Then we rely on the experts on this web site. They have lived it and know what it's like. I appreciate all those who tell us about your experiences. Let us know how you did when you can.
  3. Your surgery is tomorrow, right! July 27th. I go next Thursday, Aug 4th. I can't wait. I hope everything goes well. I'm sure it will. Let us know how it went and I you are doing when you're up to it.
  4. My surgery date was changed. I am scheduled for August 4th at 11:30. I'm so excited. I can't wait. I go tomorrow for the dietary class with my husband. I will find out what to eat until the 4th. I'm so excited to be thinner!

  6. I have my pre-op testing July 20th. Once the tests are complete and sent to the MD, I can schedule my sleeve. I am hoping it will be August 8th. The doctor only does surgery on Mondays and Wednesdays. I have been approved by insurance. I am just waiting now. I can't wait. Good Luck to all!
  7. I found out on July 5th too! I am so anxious to be sleeved. I am ready for a change. Good Luck!
  8. Do you add anything, like powered protein, to your clear liquid drinks to get your protein? What is a good powered protein to use?
  9. The lady at the Bariatric center turned in all my information on Friday July 1st, Friday. I was thought the 4th of July holiday would slow down the process. Tuesday morning I received a call and was told I was approved. I was shocked. My husband works for the government and we have Federal BCBS. I was blown away, it was approved so fast. Good Luck! Can anyone tell me your experience as far as getting insurance to cover the WLS? I have it all done! The insurance lady just has to submit my info to the insurance company and then I wait.....and wait.......and wait. That's the hardest part!
