  1. That's why I love this site! There is always someone who is experiencing or has experienced what you're going through. I too was starting to worry because the numbers on the scale are going in the wrong direction since I've started eating solids. Good to know that this is a normal occurence and I will try not to weigh myself so much.
  2. Ultimate Nutrition sent me samples of their ultimate whey prostar mix in vanilla and cookie and cream. Both were good but vanilla was my favorite. I also drink Slim Fast. It may have more calories than some drinks but considering I'm not eating anything else at this point I think I can afford it in order to get my proteins in. I can't drink /eat something I don't like. Just can't!
  3. I have one incision that is still swollen and sore. I calked the doc. He said that is where the port is (it's the biggest incision) and that is to be expected. I didn't have the hernia issue though.
  4. I drank the MoM and went that same day 4 days post op
  5. I also had this "pain pump" pumping pain meds internally through a catheter for 48 hours post op. I think they may have helped me a lot. Did anyone else have this? I had to remove the catheter myself which was pretty disgusting but painless.
  6. Thanks for the responses. It definitely helps me not freak out. The pain from deep breathing is better today so be assured that all of the pains will get better. I told my husband yesterday that I was so uncomfortable. Then I remembered I was uncomfortable being fat too so I just shut my mouth. I did get the lung machine. If you don't have one just take deep breaths to the point of coughing to stretch that muscle. I'm sure you will get the same affect. Oh I slept with a heating pad on my shoulder last night. It's nit instant relief but I didn't have shoulder pain today. Try that!
  7. This forum is great. 4 days Post Ops and I'm wondering if I did the right thing. I have some pains and discomfort that I would of course rather not have but hopefully over time I will know for sure that I did the best thing for me.
  8. I had my surgery on Monday, August 8. I'm having a hard time differientating my pains. I don't know whether I'm feeling gas, the band, hunger, surger pains, etc. Right now, I have a sharp pain in my chest when I take a deep breath. Is that normal? And how do I tell if I'm hungry. Does it feel the same? I haven't felt hungry yet I don't think.
  9. Wow! I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one freaking out. Honestly I felt kinda guilty because I know there are people who would trade positions with me in a heartbeat. I had my final pre op appt with my surgeion and preregistration labwork at the hospital on yesterday. I thought I would have a panic attack. The nurse (trying to help) mentioned the anesthia and I almost fell out of my chair. I'm happy I've found people to take this journey with.
