  1. So good to see your beautiful smile "light up" my computer! And think how much cuter you will be as the pounds continue rolling off. I am doing very well, with no significant problems. I just have had "full-time" diarrhea and the Dr. told me that I was probably lactose intolerant. So now it is soy milk (which I love) and soy yogurt. Lately, I lose 2 lbs/day! Now down 28lbs from my highest. Yippee

  2. Bonnie, I hope you enjoyed YOUR Birthday & the beginning of a new life. I know your surgery is on Tuesday, and I will be thinking of you and sending you all good thoughts and prayers. We 60's people have to look out for each other!! Just keep your thoughts positive before your surgery and that will help. My surgery went smothly, so I am hoping for the same for you. Keep in touch to update.

  3. Good to hear from you again and so happy you are doing well. No worries about taking a long time to reply to my comment. We are all in a major undertaking here which takes up a lot of time. I am doing fine just getting started on adding full liquids to clear liquids and everything takes a LOT of time. sip, sip, sip. Great work on your weight loss. I hope I do the same. All good things, Phyllis

  4. Just wondering how you are doing one day to go to surgery, and to let you know I am rooting for you! From your picture, I can see you have a beautiful spirit, so I know that spirit will always be with you. Best of luck from an "October Sleever, 10/17, and let us know how you are doing. 5. Great to hear from you Bonnie!! We do have a lot in common. Not many people in their 60's getting sleeved! What is your date? Mine is Oct 17. My last day at work is tomorrow, 9/30, (Yippee). I celebrate my 66 B-day on Saturday, 10/1, and start my 2 week pre-surgery diet on Monday 10/3. Great that you come to this coast at times. Would be so great to see you when we are both on the losers bench!

  6. Sounds like a lot of pressure to me! I hope things are calming down a bit for you, because, you are right - one week before our pre-op det. My life is complicated by training some young guy to do my job when he has no experience at all and my boss loves him because he is a guy! I start my medical leave next week, so I only have 5 days to go! Sorry to hear about your sister. Really tough! HS

  7. Hi! Just wondering how you are doing. I haven't had much time to write in this forum becasue my work scheudle is pretty hectic training someone to fill in for me, but today I have tried to catch up. Our surgeries are coming up in 4 weeks and pre surgery diet in one week, so thought I would check in. I am a little nervous, but think things will be much better after my last work day, 9/30. Phyllis

  8. Thanks again for your quick reply. Good luck with your allergy drainage. God! If it isn't one thing, it's another. You look like you have a lot of friends and support and are well on your way to your new life -- even with these road blocks. I am already taking Prilosec for my GERD, and hope it doesn't get too much worse. I will DEFINITELY talk to my surgeon about this. Best of luck to you!

  9. Hi Libbe - or MeMeMEEE :-). I have this space here on your profile page and don't know how it got here, so I will fill it. This is the first forum I have joined, so everything is new to me. I was so happy you responded to my question about GERD but now I am worried about you and what will happen to me. How are you coping? What does your surgeon say? Let me know how you are managing to eat.
