Sweet Pee reacted to Sassygirl06 in Breast lift with implants today 10/22/13
Hey all! I already wrote this and thought I posted it, but I guess it didn't work! Hate it when that happens!
So I had the surgery this morning at 7 am. It took 4 hours. My implant size was 457 cc's . That sounds like a lot, but they ended up being only slightly bigger then my original ones. They are so full! Pain is minimal compared to what my Tummy Tuck pain was like. They are so perky! I am so thankful for Percocet!!! Well if there is anyone out there who needs/ wants to know anything just message me! Good luck to you all! Hope everyone can come out of their surgeries as well as I have!

I suggested to use a measuring tape, but in all truthfulness I am addicted to the scale. I guess there are worse things I could be addicted to.

Ruthie.....stick with it, try not to get too obsessed about the scale, keep your end goal (in shape and toned) in mind, and you'll get there.
Meliss000 does make a good point. Obviously a pound is a pound no matter the substance. She stated that muscle weighs more than fat. Not the typical statement we see here a lot...."a lb of muscle weighs more than a lb of fat"....which obviously isn't true. But on a volume basis, Meliss000 is correct. A cubic foot of muscle would weigh more than a cubic foot of fat. So in a sense, muscle does weigh more than fat volume-wise..... due to being more dense.

First of all muscle does not weigh more than fat, it weighs exactly the same, but it is more dense and smoother. And sore muscles are muscles that have been worked which means torn so they are rebuilding and that creates swelling ie, Fluid retention. For awhile as you increase your muscle mass but before the fat loss starts, you may show a higher weight for awhile, but then the increased muscle mass will jump start your fat loss and it'll be groovy. Good job on exercising!!

Lower body lift, butt lift and breast lift (no implants). Thing are looking great! My stomach is still very tight, so I noticed I was slightly bending forward while jogging yesterday. I am sure it will just take time for everything to heal and stretch back to position again.

I signed up to do a 15K on March 1, 2014. I started my training yesterday by jogging 3 miles. My legs were on fire. My butt hurt the entire time I was jogging because I am still healing from plastic surgery that I had 4 months ago. I was jogging so slow, a old woman with a walker could have passes me. This is a big goal for me! Any advice to keep me motivated will helpful!

I am glad you like it. I have been using mine since June. I will be ordering another Gelzone soon. I am surprised it lasted me this long. It had really helped me with my swelling too, especially when I pull it tight and wrap it all the way around. It may take some getting use to for some people, but well worth it when you look at your scar and see how flat an smooth it becomes. As a bonus, it holds my tummy in tighter and makes me eat less. :-)

Are you conflicted? If everyone round you had said yes, would you be firing ahead and donating your eggs? If so, then there is no conflict, you want to do this. However, you also want the approval of those who are around you. That's where the conflict lies.
I understand that, it's comforting when people agree with our decisions. But this is your decision. The money raised is for you to finish a process you started. As you said, you worked hard to get healthy - so why hesitate now? How will you feel if you let others views stop you?
I think you already know the answer and just want someone to tell you to go for it. But you have to be brave and make this decision for yourself. We can only live our life - no one else can do it for us, not even our friends who, no matter how close, have never walked a mile in our shoes...
    Good luck!

I am sorry I did not reply sooner.
I bought the GELZONE Wrap at www.gelzone.com
It is 6X48 inch streach support and is perfect for Tummy Tucks or Lower Body Lifts. I started wearing mine GELZONE Wrap 10 days after my LBL. (I was allergic to the surgical tape)
It provides compression and silicone at the same time. I paid $75.00.
I tried the small strips, but they did not work for me. With the GELZONE, I was even able to cut it and make it work for my breast lift scars too. I hand wash. Had my LBL 14 weeks ago, and still wear it 24/7. It is very very comfortable.

Sweet Pee reacted to michelleandcolten in TT numbness / swelling
I had my lbl and plastics just over 5 weeks ago as well. And I have also had 3 c-sections and a few other medical surgeries.... Yes the numbness and swelling will subside. After my 3rd c-section I did have some numbness that stayed in spots but you do get used to it and it won't bother you. With my other 2 c-sections it did take a few months for the feeling to come back.
As far as the swelling goes I have read that some people's swelling can last up to 6 months or more. My swelling comes and goes depending how much I move around in a day. I find that if I rest every few hours then it's not so bad. I also have compression garments that I'm still wearing 23hrs a day so that really does help with keeping the swelling down.
But don't worry what you are experiencing is normal and every day it will get better. The 6-8 week mark I always felt like I got back to "normal". Lol

I had my lower body lift 12 weeks ago now. The swelling comes and goes for me too. The numbness is still there too. I am taking St Johns Wort because it works to regenerate nerves to grow. It has helped me a lot. Healing takes time, and I still try to take it easy. You will get there, but just give yourself a little more time.
    Happy Healing!!

That is a good question to ask, because recovery can be lengthy depending on the surgery and the amount of work being done, not mention if one should suffer complications.

Dr Victor Gutierrez is located in Tijuana, Mexico. To be honest with you, I tried to find a PS near me, but they all seemed more concerned about the wrong things. In my search, I was not even able to speak personally to any doctor. They just would not take the time to call me back.
Then I called Dr Victor Gutierrez PS office. I was able to speak to him personally. He was so caring, patient, and reassuring. WOW! I was super impressed and made a trusting connection right away - something that is super important to me.
He prices were reasonable and affordable. But considering the care that I received, I would have been willing to pay a whole lot more.
