  1. Due to lack of choices in Korea, this has become my staple Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Is this a good choice? Please tell me what you think. 1 and 1/2 tbsp of shredded chicken breast 1 tbsp of pizza cheese 1 and 1/2 tbsp of spaghetti sauce (no meat) I am almost 6 weeks out. My meal plan consists of all types of rice and Korean side dishes so this wasn't exactly on the list. Thank you in advance.^_____________^
  2. Thank you, Jackie. I must say that picture is so pretty. I saw some of your posts and was thinking it was so interesting because you have a certain Asian look about you that's attractive.^^
  3. Hi~ I live in Korea so I seriously do not have access to good, healthy food. I also hate cooking and the big markets are too far away. Anyway, I am thinking about ordering the entrees and protein bars from bariatricchoice.com. Has anyone tried their food? I would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks in advance.^_____^
  4. I think raw veggies are off limits for at least 1-2 months. (Every plan is a little different.) For the first few weeks, feeling dizzy is perfectly normal. Try drinking broth (not salty) and they count as liquid. Instead of water, drink broth a couple times a day, just don't go over 50ml. Good luck. You will feel better soon.^_________^
  5. Hi, I am 4 weeks out. For the first 2 weeks, I sipped exactly the way my doc instructed me to do. By the 3rd week, I drank iced Water and gatorade like a normal person. I just get a bottle of gatorade, add alot of ice and go through 2 bottles day. I drink-stop for about 5 minutes and drink again but I am very careful about not drinking for 30 minutes before and after meals and Snacks. Don't worry so much, you will be okay. As for the discomfort, whether it's food or water, stop immediately. Good luck!!
  6. Good to know!~ I'm also terrible with protein. I'm 4 weeks out, too and drank the shake only once. My doc also told me to eat alot of tofu. I live in Korea so it's really hard to find ricotta or greek yogurt.
  7. I was sleeved on June 26th in Korea. I was on a 1 week pre op diet, which wasn't difficult. I had small amounts of rice, meat and vegetables. Lost 6lbs on the pre op diet. I was in the hospital for a total of 7 days eventhough I don't have any obesity-related disease. My doctor actually put me to sleep for 2 whole days because of my breathing.(I'm a smoker..) I wasn't allowed Water until 3 days later. Did the whole liquid, puree stages and surprisingly only a month later He put me on a regular diet. I never really had any trouble with reflux, nausea or vomiting. I also never had problems with keeping food down. I am really good with water but terrible with Protein shakes. I only drank it once the whole time. My doc says I don't really have to but eat alot of tofu instead. Good luck to all the pre op and post op jewels of June. You will be just fine.~ Sleeved 6/26/2011 -150kg Current weight- 130kg I am 100% Korean but because I am KoreanAmerican, I have a pear shaped body and I lost 20kg only on the top!! =(
  8. Wow, just 1 day at the hospital! I had to stay for 7 days eventhough I did not have any obesity-related disease. Anyways, it is perfectly normal. It has been 1 month since my surgery and lost 40lbs. A month after, I still feel a bit dizzy, crappy and no energy. Give it time, you will feel better. ^__________^
