  1. I agree!!!! It's TERRIBLE trying to eat and feeling full! I CAN'T DO IT! I know I'm not losing because I'm not eating enough, and to top it off since I started my period I'm so nauseous I can't eat the little I was eating ...I know I need to get my Protein in, and Fiber, but it's so difficult, it's really starting to get on my nerves :w00t: !!!!
  2. Wow, I wish that would have been the case with me:biggrin2:...Oh well.
  3. Girrrl, I thought the same thing...I'm 1 month out tomorrow and have only lost 13 lbs. so you are doing AWESOME compared to me LOL! I know it will eventually come off, so no rush, as long as it does come off.
  4. I think that's AWESOME! I hope I lose that much when I hit 2 months :confused1:...I hit 1 month tomorrow and so far I've only lost 13 lbs.
  5. Concrete bowels is truly the WORD! I was literally crying:crying:! OMGOSH!!! OUCH, OUCH, OUCH, OUCH, OUCH...Finally passed, but then later followed by liquid bowels:confused1: which I seriously don't understand...I'm so worried about getting all the Protein in, I don't have room for other foods ...But I think I'm gonna have to make some room, I DO NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN:svengo:!!! Thanks for all the tips sleeve sisters:blush:
  6. Funny but very exciting at the same time Congrats :thumbup1:
  7. Awesome news ...I'm soooo happy for you both :thumbup1:
  8. OK without saying too much here...What foods will HELP ME in the FIBER area during this mushie stage????? OMGOSH!
  9. OK my peeps I started last night (5 days late)...I had terrible nausea, I couldn't even eat anything for dinner yesterday, and different type cramps last night (burning). So far the flow seems normal. This is so weird.
  10. My surgeon said it was ok to drink carbonated drinks after 6 months. I'm hoping I can just break the habit all together. We'll see .
  11. Oh how weird I will tell you I tried a starbucks caramel lite frap with sugar free caramel (my doctor said it would was fine), and it tasted TERRIBLE (used to be my favorite drink). My family is hoping my taste buds have changed in their favor and that I will now love shrimp and crab now hahahahaha! I highly doubt it!
  12. I just received this message from Kaiser. And with the newly discovered lump (in my breast) I found I don't think it's a good idea to start any type of birth control right now, so I think I'm just gonna wait it out and see what happens...but I will say kudos to all my sleeve sisters who basically said the same thing as the experts. I LOVE THIS SITE . From Kaiser... Your periods can typically become irregular under stress. Your body is stressed by weight loss. Weight loss also changes your hormonal balance. Your periods can stop( months) or start coming more frequently( every two weeks) till you "balance" out. Because of this irregularity we recommend that our patients use 2 methods of birth control. Birth Control Avoid pregnancy for the first 12-18 months after bariatric surgery. Oral contraceptives may not be adequately absorbed and therefore may not protect you from getting pregnant after gastric bypass surgery. This is not the case for gastric sleeve or band. Please consult your gynecologist for appropriate contraception. Lynne L. 13. Yayyy! I'm so happy for you girlie! You did it!
  14. Just make sure to follow the food list your doctor provides for you, and you should be fine. Remember it's very little food compared to what we are used to eating in the past. I totally feel your worry though, I start back on all regular food diet October 7th and I'm scared LOL!!! What in the world do I start with??? I'm really scared of eating meat again :crying:
  15. Light would be great :thumbup1:...so how late were you???
  16. 11 weeks WOW! I guess that would be a nice break LOL! Did you ask your doctor about it???
  17. OK I'm praying for that LOL!
  18. I was on the very last day of my period the day of my surgery (mostly spotting, if that)...so they gave me some special undies and a huge pad to wear during the surgery.
  19. My tubes are tied too...Oh man now I'm scared! What's weird is I still had PMS (bad) super irritable. I go back to work next Monday, I hope I start this week :w00t:
  20. Sounds yummy! I have about 2 1/2 more weeks on mushies, but I will be sure to try this
  21. I could not drive for 1 week after I was released from the hospital. I was on pain meds for about 1 1/2 weeks. I was in the hospital Friday-Monday afternoon. My surgeon just said to make sure I get in at LEAST 50 grams of protein a day. I think my stomach is still a little swollen 3 weeks out, seriously. OK I'm going to be totally honest the pain was really, really BAD for me at least. It's terrible because you're supposed to sip but you don't want to because of the pain :wink1: ...swallowing a golf ball is the best description I've read yet. BUT the good news is that IT DOES GO AWAY . After 14 days I felt great!!! and pretty much back to normal :biggrin2:.
